I've recently been working on some Lego customs for a Youtube project. The Foot Soldiers are completely designed by my self including the stickers/decals. I'd love to gain some feed back from the community.

Looking good . There are some LEGO fans on here (myself included), although I love Technic personally .

How did you do the stickers/transfers? Was they float off/slide on transfers like in Airfix models? If so where did you get them made?

A picture is worth more that a thousand frames ... in this case ...

Anyway, I thought I recognized the Foot Soldiers from the turtles. And when I read the title of the video I was sure.

But Lego isn't meant to be stickerd, although it's great for easy customization.

Cheers.

I must add that I am a bit of a LEGO purist as well . I would never modify any of my LEGO, but everyone has their own tastes.

Thanks for commenting guys, I specially ordered the Lego parts from the official Lego website specifically to assemble the mini figs. I designed the eye's and torso in MicroMedia Flash MX and took them down on a USB flash drive to my local Stables store (thats an office supplies/printing chain in the U.K) and got them to print the Stickers/Decals off with glossy high quality paper and magazine quality ink. I used Power PrittStick a high performers sticking agent to bond the Stickers/Decals to the Lego head and torso. Your be surprised how well PrittStick reacts with Lego plastic, it’s like Lego engineered the plastic to work with PrittStick. Even if you make a mistake and hours later decide to start from scratch, just rip the paper off and wash the Lego plastic parts and the Lego is like new again, its great. I’m currently in the middle of making a video tutorial how I made the Foot Soldiers on my YouTube channel, should have it ready very soon.

I see what your saying, I've always been a massive Lego enthusiast my self with the amount of customisation you can do with Lego it's amazing. Another of my favorite childhood past times was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles original cartoon series. I even watched the first series of the new TMNT released in early 2000 which i thought was really good too. But anyway I always wanted TMNT Lego's but it never happened. I think there was a Mega Blok version a few years ago but Mega Blok just isn't Lego. So I thought I'd give it a shot and post my finished customs on the internet. My first Figure is obviously The 2000 series foot soldiers, I have prototype Turtles made up (still working on them though) and I plan to make Shredder, Krang, April O'Neil and Casey Jones at some point.

Obviously I'm designing all the figures from scratch and making them to a professional standard, so they do take alot of time.

Ah I never knew Staples offered high qaulity printing services (I am from the UK too).

I was never a TNMT fan back in the day (I was a Ghostbuster's fan instead), but looking back it was a good cartoon.

I would like to buy/make the four ghostbusters someday (and Ecto 1).

Good work dude, keep it up .

Do it man, I'd love too see what you come up with. Staples is pretty cheap too, it cost me 79p a sheet including the glossy high quality paper. The trick is too use your own printer at home and get a prototype mocked up first so your happy with your design and you've got your measurements right. That way your only need to make 1 trip and your keep costs down, I'll try and be as detailed as possible in my tutorial video hopefully that will inspire you and others to create your own. OH I know how Rikus feel's now with KlikCast, making video's takes forever LOL!

My girlfriend brought her nephew some Lego Aquatic adventure mech-shark toy, but he couldn't make it, so I offered to do it.

Actually making the thing was really enjoyable and quite relaxing too, I thought I'd grown out of it but I spent a good hour and a half building a childrens toy. It really surprised me tbh, and this is coming from a 27 year old

I'm also 27, but planning on loving Lego til' I'm no more, and then some.

I don't spend time with it nowadays, haven't actually for the last 12-15 years. But I do own a small collection, and I love to build when coming across Lego in such circumstances that you mentioned.
(hint: buy Lego that's way too advanced for the kid )
(j/k, that would be mean! )

Heh heh, I remember when I was younger there was this store that bought used toys. I had an interest in pixel art around the time Mario Paint was released. (Or maybe before, I'm old and forgetful.) Anyways, I didn't have enough cash to get it at the time, and so I had the great idea of selling all my legos to get it. Well, that worked. I had got enough money to buy Mario Paint.

So I was happy I could do some pixel art, animations, etc. And later, when I got a pc, I dove even deeper into it. But I did sometimes miss my legos.

So now I am 32 with small children. Of course I got them some Duplos! I also got a few Lego sets as well. Although I had kept telling myself, 'it's only for level design ideas for my game'. [I had heard that Metal Gear Solid's levels were first designed with Lego's first. Even if that's not true, it's not a bad idea.]

Anyways, I find it really relaxing to try to build things with my limited number of pieces. It's good exercise for the brain, I'd think.

Oh, on topic, nice job on the mini figures. Although, like hagar, I wouldn't really modify my Legos either. But then again, seeing as how they don't sell Foot Clan soldiers, I guess that's the only way to make it happen.

Firstly, its Lego or Duplo, not Legos or Duplos. You say sheep not sheeps etc

Secondly Lego is for 2 year olds lol.

Its pointless trying to explain though. You can say it's Legoland not Legosland and "legos" users (mainly Americans) still deny it.
