I need to do some fade in and outs for when you enter a door but i don't want the ones that are built in. Is there an extension or a way of dim to black then normal again?

The only way I could figure out was creating a separate top layer of black that the opacity is set to through a counter. But having that extra layer I worry might slow it down on some computers.

Any ideas?

Help plz?

It sounds like you could accomplish that with the built-in fade out on frame one, fade in on frame two. But you don't want to use the built-in transitions...?

I don't think there's an extension for this. Like you suggested, just use an active if you don't want to use the built-in transitions. I agree that it looks better to have some objects still moving and animating while it fades in/out.

Don't worry about slow down too much. At 640x480 it won't be a problem on 90% of computers but preferably you'll use MMF's hardware acceleration (get the HWA upgrade below) and not have to worry about it at all.

Sweet, I'll stick with an active then. The res is 320 x 240 so it shouldn't be too bad at all and active that size

Help plz?
