I was just wondering how a game in 16:10 format, with resize to fit and maximized on boot-up, would behave on a 16:9 or 4:3 screen? Would it get stretched or would it keep the aspect ratio and add black bars?

The aspect ratio business of MMF2 is one of the most irritating!

It should stretch all the way. I wish there was an option to add black bars but it doesn't seem to be an easy feat as of now. (Unless I'm missing something, in which case I would love to be proven wrong!)

I'd like the black bars too (I guess everyone does), I wonder if there are any effective workarounds if there aren't any "real" solutions?

This is a wicked ghetto solution but how's about this:

Take one frame that's only a black backdrop and use the window object to resize it to the user's monitor x / y pixel width and height and set it to 0,0. The use the other "real" game on a subapp that's resized to however you like and use (monitor width x - subapp width x) / 2 and (monitor height y - height subapp y) / 2 to set it all centerized.

I'm not sure if that'd work because I've never used subapps before. If you can use the same window control object to control both frames this would give the appearance of a resizable center window with black bars underneath it.

????

I tried that once, but just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it can't work!
