What's the probability of picking the right answer to this question at random?

A. 25% B. 50% C. 0% D. 25%

What are the options? 25%, 0%, and 50%. Well, it's not 0%, assuming one of the answers is real. So that leaves 25% and 50%. There are two options, and a one in two chance of picking the right one.

B.

Oh but wait, no. "At random". So it's gotta be 25%, if I'm not allowed to use logic, and if A could be considered wrong while D could be considered right (and vice versa).

It's a good thing I don't have any classes today that will require the use of my now-melted brain.

None of the listed answers.

can't be 25% as there's two answers making the probability 50%, but also can't be 50% because there's only one of those so there's a 25% of chosing 50% for the answer.

0% is also wrong because there is a 25% chance of you picking c, 0%, at random as the correct answer.

Well exactly. Please treat it like every other multiple answer question ever - one answer is right.

Also, on the post above: if the answer were C, and thus true, how can the answer be 0%?

Okay i say C because there are 2 out of 4 answers saying "25%" (i.e. A. and D.), which means there is a 50% chance of getting the correct answer (i.e. option B. in other words). Since it's impossible to pick all of answers A., B. and D., i an going to say your chances are zero, or "0%" (i.e. answer C.)

Or am i talkings balls?

Err I believe i gave my reasoning for C being incorrect if you read my post...? Logically it's impossible. So if it was an exam I just wouldn't circle anything haha.

1 out of 4

or

2 out of 4

depending on which answer is correct.

Problem solved by previous post, since the odds aren't equally distributed.

C is out, because it's wrong and is wrong even if it's right.
A, B, C then. If it's 33%, then that would be right, but it's not 33%.

I'd say it's either B or A/D, since A/D are the same.
So, assuming I pick it out of those two choices, it'd be B.
But then A/D would also be at 25%

Random chances:
50% of picking B
50% of picking A OR D
> 50% of 50% of picking A
> 50% of 50% of picking D

So, A, B, and D are all correct. You never said that there's only one right answer to the question.
Also, you never mentioned what random algorithm you're using
