I like Rachel Riley too, but I'm not allowed to say so because a friend of mine auditioned for the job when Vorderman left, and she now hates Rachel with a passion.

Oh dear, oh dear! How many people auditioned for that job then? (slightly off-topic)
err. . . now that I look, it's only Sketchy who's watching 14 year old girl shows, and possibly adam but I'm not sure what neighbors is. . . sounds like a soap opera?
There's nothing wrong with watching "14 year old girl shows".
If they actually starred 14 year olds, then yeah, that would be dodgy - but they're all 19+ (and don't even look like high school girls).
Personally, I feel sorry for you - missing out on something you might enjoy, just because you're too snobbish, or too worried about what other people might think. You should try to be a bit more open-minded...

Yeah, Home & Away probably has a more teenage audience. Neighbours is also an Australian soap but imo has a lot higher quality of acting and a much larger fan base in the UK, hence why the actors are popular when they come over to visit. They're also less wooden in terms of acting than the Home & Away cast.
Are soaps in Australia and the UK different from the ones over here? Because American soap operas are about the bottom of the TV content pit. Well, next to reality shows.
I've been watching Flashpoint lately. It gets a bit dramatic at the end of the episodes sometimes but I like it.
Neighbours has a bigger UK fan base because it was shown at prime time on BBC for decades - and until 5-10 years ago, it actually wasn't bad.
However, the BBC stopped showing it because it had become such crap and the ratings were plummeting.
In Australia, Neighbours has been doing badly for years (getting just over half the number of viewers that H&A gets), and it's in serious danger of being axed altogether.
Home and Away has the better storylines, characters, and acting. Not that anyone watches soaps for the quality of the acting - I mean Eastenders is the most popular soap, and you won't see worse acting than that.
