The screaming is what made those commercials though. Take that away and you just have a 50 year old selling use(less) crap.

Rockin' it.

Billy Mays was known for his enthusiasm in the products he was selling. If he didn't have as much real enthusiasm, his commercials wouldn't mean anything to me, and I wouldn't even know who he was or what his name was. Which is probably why I don't care about any other infomercials.

Same here. I'd see his commercials and think, "Oh look! It's the guy who looks like the guy that replaced Louie Anderson on Family Feud!"

This logical train of thought always brought me to the quote, "Andy Anderson, excuse yourself!" From Life with Louie. So now whenever I see John O'Hurley hosting Family Feud, I think of a cartoon character with a Minnesotan accent mistaking a Tuba blast for a blast of derrière gas. All because of someone who yelled at me about laundry detergent.

I hope someone else knows what the heck I'm talking about.

But I always thought his commercials were some of the cheesiest. Never saw any "real enthusiasm." Just annoyance.

I'm gonna miss the fart
Jokes about him were just starting to get popular...

My favorite product that he had was the Hercules Hook
It was like sticking a twisted close hanger in your wall, except you're paying 9 bucks fo rit

Me too- we'd mute the commercials whenever he'd come on. Although, I'll miss his his screaming fury even if he gave me a freaking headache...

Sham Wow Guy is totally the TF2 Scout. What is it with infomercials and Team Fortress 2? I want to see the Pyro selling barbecues.
