So I haven't been here in a while and I noticed that there are a lot of trophies... I mean A LOT!!! What are they for? and how are they used? I see people have ones like "Alien" and "Wii owner" and stuff.

Trophies are bought at the Store with your DC points. Lately they've become higher in price after people were complaining they were too cheap.

Btw, welcome back!

Thanks man. So are there certain trophies or can I customize my own to give to people?

Welcome back!

You can buy tags in the DC store for yourself. Click the "visit store" button under your avatar to the left. You can give people trophies by going to their profile (click on their name) and then entering words into the text box and awarding it to them.

Lol, well I like to think I'm more sophisticated. But who knows! I played one of my old games and thought "this is horrible, I can do better."

Good to see you guys again. Except you Boothman, who are you?

I think right now it's whenever Rikus gets around to it. In the mean time, you can always make some to submit to the store!

Well there was a forum topic for it. http://create-games.com/forum_post.asp?id=248264 Rikus might let you just DC mail them, but I don't know so stick with the topic. Make sure they're 16x16!

If you use GIMP, (Which I incidentally can't stand but put up with anyway) you can add alpha channel, (Layer > Transparency > Add Alpha Channel) then use the fuzzy-select tool to select the areas that should be transparent, and hit the delete key. Then, save the picture in a format that supports transparency, preferably PNG.

This might sound lame but I use mmf 1.5 for all my drawing needs. What is GIMP? An art program?

Indeed it is, it's an open-source photoshop "replacement." I put it in quotes because I'm not very fond of it. Just google it and download it and have fun experimenting. It's not lame at all, I still use TGF1's graphics editor for most of my art.

Downloading now! In the past 48 hours I think I have downloaded 10 new programs so I could start making new games or other fun things! Good stuff though.
