So I've got a few files from the internet. They are in three seperate parts, with the .7z file extension. I've never had anything to do with .7z, winace or split files so I'm really confused. The three files make a PS1 demo that I used to love playing as a kid and hopefully I'll be palying it again soon... IF somebody here could explain what I need to do.

Thanks for any help!

You should use 7zip to open .7z files, not Winace.
Winace is poop anyway.

thank you!

Right, now there is more confusion: 7-zip will open the first file fine, but not the other two. when I try and open it in the 7-zip window, I'm asked what program is used to open the file? wtf?

I'll point out the file extension for each file tho:

filename.7z.001 - opens fine
filename.7z.002 - wont open
filename.7z.003 - wont open

I tried taking out the .002 and .003 but then it says it's damaged. Pretty sure all the files downloaded fine, no oen in the forum had any problems. Unfortunatly the forums post is about1 year old now tho.

So anyone any ideas on what I do with the other two files? Or are they really courpt?

if you right click the .001 part and extract with 7zip, it should automatically do it.

It opens all three files as one file named filename.7z.001.
filename.7z.001 "contains" all the files in filename.7z.002 and filename.7z.003.
Think about it as an EXE files and DLL files.

Just google it, some geocities site had a whole load of regions.

Only thing I've ever emulated on PS1 was Castlevania: SoTN...
