Can we get this settled now? I'd like to know who still holds a major grudge against Phizzy right now. I think bygones should be bygones, and I believe the vast majority of us are mature enough to tolerate him, so long as he is contributing to the community instead of destroying it. Frankly, in my perspective no amount of trolling or rude behavior justifies banning someone from the community if they are helping our "kliking youngsters" and actually submitting games and other such projects. But I also understand and appreciate that many people here hold a different perspective, and get their knickers in a twist from Phizzy's offensive, yet innocuous antics. And I'm not going to try to rationalize or defend his crude behavior, but I think we as a community (if I haven't made it clear enough already) should be more on the side of holding hands and singing Kumbaya albeit in an unsexualized manner, then ostracizing each other for our personal differences and opinions. I understand certain individuals have crossed the line and *really* deserved getting banned; people who spam the forums, post nasty pictures of their poo, or *cough* try to *cough* steal passwords. That has all happened to TDC. And we need to ban the people attacking the community. But I never saw Phizzy spamming the forums or doing anything outrageously malicious. Instead, I saw a guy the other day remark how ironic it was that the programming trick he was using was something he learned from Phizzy.
So please, if you still hold some serious miffs with our lovable fatty, bombs away. Let's be mature for once.
I don't know Phizzy personally, so I can't say much about him and I don't have any grudges against him either. What I do know is that he trolled a LOT, even after getting several warnings. And for that, I think him being banned was justified.

I see it backwards. His trolling can't be justified by being active.

Well, i don't think I've been here long enough to say I've seen a lot of his trolling etc but what I do know is that There was a point when I asked a LOT of questions in the Code it forum and he answered almost every post and provided me with good advice and even an engine or two. Really helped me out.

To be honest though, I don't see why everyone loves him - like you for example - Pixeltheif. It's really quite sad how you seem to kiss his feet and worship the fool. You have a life don't you? People can survive without Phizzy you know..
The community was and has been a much friendlier place without him.. he used to insult random people a lot, like in the downloads areas etc. and say useless comments / troll, simply everywhere. It's a shame that he can't seem to prevent himself from doing this though - he tends to be all nice again for a couple weeks, then there comes a day when he snaps back to his old self and it begins all over again... and the admins KEEP giving him chances!
Given all of the chances he's had, it doesn't matter how many tutorials etc. he has submitted. You can't cancel one thing out with another like that, it just doesn't work like that in life... "Yeah I'm a serial killer, but I won the lottery and gave the money to cancer research, so hey!" ... You're still going to jail dude! You get me? :\

I was never in favour of banning him anyway, he never really did anything to harm anyone, just stupid, immature posts here and there. If you can't stand the trolling, get out of the internet.
Edit: On a related note, despite liji's past discrepancies (which were far worse than Phizzy's), he was let in and seems to be doing just fine now. The reasoning behind this is that liji did and still does good things for the community. 'Nuff said.
I can't really see why it's ironic that someone used a programming trick made by phizzy. Thats what phizzy does, he is a coder.
He has helped me no end with my lil' pirate engine and editor.
The thing I wonder though is if he ever got unbanned again would all the admins expect any 'rule breaking' and jump on anything they see?
I think it would be better to accept the way phizzy is and try to deal with any instances of 'rule breaking' in a way that does not involve banning him again.
But that seems to be what he does. Helps out before/just after being officially let back in and then after a few weeks or months he'll start being a offensive again. Wonder if that pattern can finally change?

Well its very simple. I don't like Phizzy all that much, not any more then anyone else. But I've been in his exact position; theres another community forum I go to, where I am instantly banned upon posting a message for absolutely no reason besides avoiding a ban. Nobody knows why I was banned in the first place, and I'm only there to help the little people with their problems and write articles anyway. And it would be a damn sight hypocritical to support banning Phizzy at that rate.
Anyway, I think if you Mods really want to control the problem, a nice compromise would be a Tempban system; if Phizzy starts posting about large penises again, you can give him a day or two off to chill out, instead of permanent exile.

I quite agree with this. Although I don't think it's fair he should be perma-banned. I'd say leave it a few more months then re-evaluate the banning.

Unlike some I like people that can resolve things without fighting etc and act grown up about matters.
Yeah I know what you mean too James. Perhaps a permanent ban forEVARR is a bit too far... maybe an accumulative ban of some sort? So for example, every time he is banned, his ban is increased? Or doubled, or something? That'd be quite a good deterrant from misbehaving!?
Woo hoo, I just listened to that whole album last night waiting for my wife to hurry up and finish with the food shopping! We started on Hold your fire after 2112 was through, but only got a little bit into Time Stand Still before she came out of the store.

Oh, he did a lot of stupid things. Some of the admins just removed the more offensive ones. He's made a few dumb posts, he got warned about it, still defied the warnings so, 'surprisingly', he got banned for a few months (or forever, but I don't believe that ).
I've got nothing against him. He's a genius who acts like an idiot, a lot like a lot of other geniuses. I like the way he helps people, I dislike some of the posts he's made.

... Well no, hold on. It's not like I suddenly came up with the idea and jumped straight to conclusions in a couple of minutes! Pixeltheif has been going on about the return of Phizzy for weeks and weeks, and threatening the community with putting the release of his games on hold until he returns and stuff.. alright? So from that picture, I gathered together what I knew, and based on what I knew, I drew a relative conclusion. But it turns out that it wasn't correct, and now that has been readjusted accordingly.
I do have my reasons for thinking what I do, Vince. I also don't approve of being spoken down to like that. "Okay?" young man? -_-

But yeah, I saw Pixelthief joking around because Phizzy wasn't unbanned yet, and then I saw you saying "ass-lickery", which is quite rude even if he wants to see Phizzy back.
Can anyone really blame Phizzy for acting the way he does when he gets multi-paged forum threads dedicated to him like this? Goodness! Phizzy has become more than a man, he has become legend! I don't know Phizzy at all, but I know that I don't expect him to change his ways after this!
I'm kind of on and off about my opinions about him, but he's helpful enough, coding wise, to be here. As for his more random posts, some are funny, and some are downright obnoxious, but not enough to outweigh his knowledge.

It looks like we have a minor consensus among the users- if the Admins could discuss it, I think it would be an ample time to give this another chance.
I'll post my actual opinion this time shall I? Phizzy has given me my fair share of laugh and annoyances, but I have also seen him helping people out and coding things for them etc. Even if it doesn't last forever I think he deserves to be un-banned.
I'm sure if we give him a chance, he'll find some way to legitimately blow it. But this whole "ZOMG U R BANT FROM THE INTARNETS, PARMANENTLY!!1!!one!!11!" deal is kind of silly. He's no more offensive then I am.

I still don't know why they're keeping me banned this time. The admins have said that I was banned by mistake and they just decided not to rectify this mistake because Circy doesn't like me. Oh right, I suppose I do know. How long can you guys keep me banned for no reason? You're worse than LIJI.
actually they probably care about something else, not actually being banned from neatwares but being banned from some other related site or something. I don't know i'm just typing crap.
