I would like to play Crysis, and my rig is as follows...

I also have two gigs of RAM but I took one out for some reason so the txt file does not show that.
I know my rig is very very very old, but I am not a hard core gamer. I like playing old games like Monkey island and other newer adventures, but I also fell in love with FarCry!!! I can play FarCry on my machine and it looks awesome and now I really really really really want to play Crysis, but here is my Q...

Should I get a new AGP GFX card such as the 7600 GT like I heard people say or should I save for a new rig? Would getting a new GFX card help me play Crysis on low settings? I am not a hard corer and I like my machine cause it still works for what I need it for and I would rather just upgrade but will an upgrade on the AGP work for Crysis?

If you plan to play Crysis, then knowing APG sucks is pretty much his way of telling you to get a new PC. Crysis laughs at just about every single rig you throw at it, unless you're talking multi-core processor and SLI (or CrossFire) video cards.

I use GeForce 7900gs, Athlon 64 X2 5000+, 2GB DDR2 Ram, and Crysis still runs quite poorly for me.

Heheh, I wouldn't dare to play Crysis on your rig, Kenley. I'd definitely go for a new computer, a new AGP card would give you a _minor_ increase in performance and it would be a waste of money. You should save money for a new rig.

Really? I think it was PC World who ran 3 Nvidia's in SLI and still were only able to pull off the second to highest settings.

Anyone seen the 3000 barrel demo up on youtube? I want to play with the free mode more than the actual game after that.

the highest setting in crysis wasn't even designed for current hardware so that's no big surprise

Yeah, I only have one 8800GTX and a 2.4GHz Intel Core Quad and I manage to have the highest settings on everything in Crysis, it only runs around 30-40fps but it's totally playable and I still get the eye-candy.
