I thought I'd post some of the music for my game here. I made the songs in Fruity Loops v.5. I don't have any other webspace than the https server so I put it there. Just so you know.

Not a fan of this sort of music, but still a pretty nice job. They're all a bit repetitive though, and could probably be amplified a bit (had to turn up my speakers to hear them).

Yes they are a bit repetitive. I wanted them to play on the same theme and I had trouble with making the melody longer and more varied. But it probably wont be as noticeable ingame since the player will have other stuff to focus on. I'm still kinda new to making music.

Celestian Forest is very quiet, and takes a while to get into itself. After which, it's pretty foresty and I suspect that's what you were going for. Didn't really satisfy me though, and I ended up skipping through to find the melody.

Hangar Song is probably the best of these three - having a clear lead melody synth line to carry the song. Only thing was, like Celestian Forest, it left me sort of empty, because it felt like it was building up to something, and it never did. A big, thumping bassline could do the trick I feel, after about 45 sec.

Hangar Song Boss was pretty good, if a little annoying. The repetitive orchestra hits just do my head in after about 30 sec. Good reflection of the theme though.

Good work Lukas man - keep it up.

i don't see how repetitiveness is a problem if it's music for a game..playing a game music just sets atmosphere, and you don't really listen to it..

It's not that simple... In some types of games, music is more important and noticeable (like RPGs), and people just end up turning the sound off if it's too repetitive.

I recently made another song. I'm not exactly sure what I'm gonna use it for though. A friend said it was a perfect "Shop" tune

It's got a definite Oriental theme that one Lukas, it's actually very nice to listen to as bg music. It sounds like something out of Spyro the Dragon, if you've ever played that (for ps1). Definitely it beats your previous tunes in terms of listenability (I know that's not a word).

As for where it would "fit in", I'd suggest maybe a first or a second level - you know, with green leaves and shrubbery and suchlike.

Thought I'd terrorise you with a little more music.

This is used for my titlescreen, the other two are just stuff I played around with (discovered FL Slayer recently ) , I'll maybe use them in the game.

//EDIT: They're supposed to loop that's why they end kinda abrupt and weird.
