I've got a guy aiming a pistol equipped with a laser. I got the laser dot to stop on surfaces and fastloop properly etc. Now I'm looking for a good way to draw a line between my character and the pointer. The Drawline extension seems to have .... problems. Any suggestions?

You can use an active overlay object to do it, if you *really* want.

In MMF2, maybe scaling an active into a variable length line? I've never tried, so don't blame me if it goes strange.

Edit: I just tried it, and it seems to work. If it's a 1px red dot, then 400.0 scaling is 400px, etcetera.

I've done this before very successfully using an active picture object. I used a 1x1 red dot bitmap, which was then scaled according to the distance and rotated according to the angle between the two points. A semitransparent ink setting completes the effect. I'll look around and see if I can find it later.
