Whoo I finally figured out the fastloop extension. Can youss test out my new engine? I'm going to use it in my next game, but I want to see if you all think it's at least ok.

The controls are:
shift: jump
control: throw ice cube

if you hold up while throwing an ice cube, yoou lob it. If you throw it while running, it goes further.

This engine has:
-Springs
-Accurate gravity
-acceleration and deceleration, X and Y
-endless level
-Flashy colors

1. Did you use timer based events? Because I had a hard time getting over that cliff.

2. The jump... NOT accurate gravity. It looks like you hit your head in an invisible wall when you release the jump button.

3. How do you manage to ALWAYS make your games/engines crash all the time. I can't even do that. You have crash-tgf-games skillz, dude.

Axel maybe it's just your computer that sucks - didn't crash or run slowly for me at all.
Secondly, to get over the cliff the idea is to use the spring to the left to accelerate you and give you a running stuff - thought that would be obvious

But yeh the gravity isn't "accurate", but it's still good enough for a platformer I think (games don't HAVE to be accurate). The springs are pretty buggy though. An okay engine

I didn't say it run slowly. I just couldn't get over sometimes.

And I wouldn't call a jump engine like that enough for a serious platformer.

Ok, I betterized it. The jumping up and releasing shift thing doesn't look so jerky now. Looks more like the first kirby game sans the flying.

Also changed the level a bit.

Now open source.

Took out those crappy diagonal springs (I could have done them better but who cares about those?)

I fixed the upsprings a bit.

Pressing shift causes an illegal error. Seriously, that's some messed up coding.

... If machine independant speed isn't on, games can run slowly. I guess, though, since i'm using the fastloop, it wouldn't work. Whatever, it's never crashed for me. Maybe that's the problem with exterminator also. I'll turn it off for both of those.

ALright fixed that. Also fixed exterminator:

and here's the engine:

I never knew that the Machine Independant speed froze stuff up; never did for me.

I've never had problems with Machine Independent Speed either. What do you think is wrong with it?

I don't have problems with it crashing at all - I'm guessing that machine independent speed crashes crappy computers rather than help making games run quicker

Nah, my PC's alright running proper games like Sim City 4, Pro Evo 5, FM 06, yet it can't run a crappy little platform engine?

BAD CODING, I'm afraid.

Well that last engine is good stuff. I only saw one small problem. Sometimes your first bounce on a red spring casues you to jump only a small amount.

Almost all of your games crash, bibin. Frequently.
