I just formatted my system and installed Direct X 9.0C, MMF etc.

Now, when I turn Direct X on in MMF, game goes slowly. If I turn it off, game goes almost normal speed and looks a little bad.

What's wrong? Game used DirectX before formatting and worked very well.

MMF probably isn't too compatible with DX9.0 DX has been upgraded/recoded/changed/rearranged lots of times since MMF came out. And with DX9.0 being so new and different from previous versions, and MMF being replaced; it's likely they conflict. I suspect it's because whatever MMF is trying to use in DX is now considered "legacy supported" meaning it's kinda emulated and definately out of date.

I installed the latest ATI drivers and my computer failed to start. I think that's the epitome of drivers that suck.
