My damn copy & paste isnt working worth shit in MMF. I dont know whats wrong, but If I copy a frame of an animation from one character and try and paste it in the other characters frame, in doesnt do anything, there is nothing in the clipboard anymore. WTF is wrong with it.
Copy & Paste is one of the many things that excape MMF's stability, its normal for most people, & we all just get used to it. When it comes to frames, just clone them if you cant get them to copy & paste, its the same thing as far as I've reliesed.
There are some things that work fine with copy & paste, but only for so long, I've experenced, mainly on the animation, frame, & picture editor, that sometimes when you copy an object, the save dialog will come up.
Only tip I can offer at the moment is, unless its serious, behond what is standerd for MMF & everyone else isnt having the problem, a simple reinstall might help. If its a warez of MMF, your on your own, we dont support them, & I'd love for anyone with a warez, to get help from Jeff . Other then that, your best bet is to just get used to it, most of us have. (Key word here.. most, not all though.)
Have the copy/paste buttons ready in your toolbar. Not to use, but to watch. Select what you want to copy and hit ctrl+C, then take a look at the paste icon. If it's greyed-out, nothing happened and you'll have to try again. If it's visible, you've got it!
...This doesn't FIX the problem, exactly, but it DOES save you from having to go back and forth too many times.
heh oddly when I copy it slows down then goes into denial so I click the object again & copy then the paste will work...
It's very peculiar..
but like the other guys said, you'll prolly have to improvise or get used to it LOL

It's something that's always annoyed me a hell of alot. You seem to be able to copy and paste frames/directions/animations quite capably inside an active, but when you try to copy them to another active, MMF gets angry!
Yes, the only way to get it to work is not go into clipboard. Or It just wont work. Too bad. Doooooodododododododdododdododododtishtishtsihdodododotishoododd
I too have copy/paste problems in MMF - let's hope TGF2 has it sorted. I usually do animations in TGF them import them into MMF - that's how annoying it gets.
