I'm feeling really stupid right now. I have some real high hopes for my game, involving pathfinders and such. And then my first active sprite shoots me down in a ball of fire - so after wasting two hours, i'm just going to ask a terribly stupid question.

How do I make 8-direction movement work in MMF?

Every time I add it to something, it works ONCE (while testing) and then never again. When I start the game, natta - it completely ignores me. If I go to edit it, it comes up with the direction selector panel, with random selections. If I make any changes there, or if I try to remove that movement system, or really anything, MMF crashes on me. Violently.

It's driving me insane!

Shabadage: Talking about player movement. I'm sure this should be real simple.

Antworx: Build 111. Maybe that's why.

Okay, it's not crashing as much now. But it's still not really working.

The sprite will turn and face the directions (The hotspot is off-center right now, so it's easy to tell) but he still won't move. Speed, Accel and Deccel are all at normal (50%?)

So I restarted the project and application from scratch. Tried it again. Now it works.

Tweaky. Old one must have been corrupted?

i tried to do an 8-directions movement once, and the 8-directions monkeys of doom attacked me. If i were you, id stop right where you are before things get out of hand.
