... and I must say it's probably the most powerful movie I've ever seen. Great stuff, especially Norton's performance (which is always top notch). Sad ending, though. What did everyone else think of it?

I wondered what the hell it was until you mentioned Norton's performance. Yeah it is a really powerful film, really well acted by pretty much everyone. The curb-scene is one of those mind-stickers.

ack, that scene is horrible. In a way I'm glad it's there though, definitely adds a lot to the "shock factor"

It's a good movie, for sure, but the cynic in me couldn't stop the cries of "Cliché! Cliché!". I mean, white racist meets black guy, realises racism is stupid, and stops being racist. That was the jist of it - but it was so well presented that it doesn't really matter if it's clichéd at the end of the day. I wouldn't describe it as the most powerful movie I've ever seen but it's certainly poignant. Oh and the curb scene is probably the only time I've flinched at a film since I was about 12, so it deserves its reputation, although I'm not sure the filmmakers want the film to be remembered just for that.

I agree with you Pete. I wasn't totally convinced either, that's probably the only bad point about the film. It was presented very well though so it makes up for it. (I don't know anyone who hasn't flinched at that scene ;P)
