Look at Klik-Moi! They don't have Ads at all! Learn from them!
Google are monsters! They spy after their users in search of information! I see that on a "Google Without Ads students search engine" site. That's at least what they say! I must say! Google ruin people lives!!!

Klik-me also doesn't use anywhere NEAR the bandwidth TDC goes through. Club has been quoted as saying the traffic is "a couple hundred gigs a month" and that's just on one server (tdc runs off of two).
I do kinda think it's funny what the google ads spit out sometimes.

Apparently every time you click on one they give money to the people hosting them, so if every active user clicked on them 10-20, TDC should have enough money to pay off their server costs for a year.

I click them every so often to keep the pennies flowing. They're really not that obtrusive - there's far worse ways to advertise on a website.

Hi folks, actually 1 click works for 1 IP every 24 hours or so, last time i heard. We are spending money on this server, the domain name and the clickisland server wich is going to be converted soon to an image uploader site for the daily click. This way users can put the game pictures there, and admins can put the news pics on that server to.
Actually if you look at the front page the news images most of them are already running on the clickisland site. Including the ones from the timeline. This way we keep the bandthwith for the pictures on one server while running the asp and database from this one, should work out pretty cool.
