This makes me laugh. Plenty of things are good for you in moderation, super-nasty in high quantities. Alcohol included. I agree with AT in that you're all trend-hopping kiddies who smell bad. If you consider yourself special for not doing something, you should be beaten with something blunt like a stick with phizzy on the end.

i heard, from a doctor talking about stupid rebel kids, that alcohol and tobacco seriously lower vitamin C levels in the blood. its god-basic stuff but Vitamin C is a very strong antioxidant, thus lowering chances of recieving guess what dangerous illness? cancer.

someone who does not smoke or drink needs just 1000mg of Vitamin C daily whilst a drinker/smoker would need 2000mg just to have a equal immune system. obviously depending on how much of the 2 'socialising agents' you partake in.

Well Jay, as long as you eat a healthy diet along with your drinking and smoking there doesn't seem to be much trouble. I have no health problems, granted I don't smoke, but I drink more than the average person, but as long as I keep everything in tow I'm perfectly fine, in fact I haven't needed to go to the doctors since I was in junior school, and I'm 21 now. It's all about ballance and making sure you're getting everything you need. Alcohol and the like can't be blamed intirely for weak immune systems as long as the individual keeps their diet and lifestyle sensible, and don't just pass out in a chair with a bottle of Jack every night.

Pfft, bloody pansies the lot of ya!

There is little I abstain from at all...sex, drugs, rock 'n roll...well maybe the latter isn't a good example. But yeah I don't see what people worry about.

Some of my mates are just as bad, if not worse, at least with the whole smoking and doing drugs side of life, but none of us are like sickly ill or have health problems. And we're all like 20 years old.

Hell, I drink at least 2 cases of beer a week easy, I work 45 hours a week, usually a couple of days a week I have a 'liquid dinner', and I drink to excess (to the point where my memory fails me) at least 2 nights a week, yet i'm still fuckin fit and haven't been seriously ill for close to 4 years now.
No mean to brag or anything, but for a guy who SHOULD according to some of you be in rehab, i'm doing fuckin well!

Alcohol & cigarettes cost a lot, especially at the rate they're raising the 'sin taxes' around here. Personally, I see no reason to pay tons for drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes, just to 'look cool' and for a light buzz that lasts just a few minutes. If I wanted to get high, there's plenty of cheap glue and aerosols .

Careful Muggus, last time I said "I never get ill" I ended up in hospital with chronic pancreatitis, a condition that would kill YOUR lifestyle. Hell, fate tends to work so fast you're probably feeling the first twinges of stomache ache now...

Why the hell am I on the computer at 1 in the morning? No, don't answer.
