DSD is a simple lander style game (like Choppy). Your aim is to find as many gold coins as possible, and return with them to the surface, before you run out of air. 100 is the maximum possible score.

The level is randomly generated every time you play, and it gets darker the deeper you go (there's a basic lighting effect so you can still see what's around you though).

Arrow keys control movement. Hitting walls is bad. Hitting mines is very bad.

Create a shortcut with the commandline "/NOF" to play windowed. See the readme for more info.

It's not very polished because it only took 2 days to make, and I got bored after the first day. It was going to have different types of scenery and fish etc at different depths, and weapons, and more things that could kill you etc, but like I said, I got bored.

I'm rubbish at this lol. Nice little game, I liked how it gets darker as you go down.

I got a mine on one of my coins .

Slink: Thanks. I was pretty bored by the time I got to sound effects, so just used what was already on my computer. Hence the critical battery noise and god-awful midi.

Mr.James: Thanks for the hosting

Ben: The mines actually move slowly towards you, so you can get them to move out of the way if they're on a coin or blocking a narrow passage. Takes a few seconds though...

LOL, no way that's awesome! I remember my very first VB6 game in 2000- This was before I knew how to get the program to play music or sound- and it had all of those default windows sounds too like beep, and the one for the exclaimtion mark. Hurrah!!

Somewhat impossible to get all coins before the time runs out

Great quality though!

Yeah, the most I ever got was 80. Seeing as how I suck at this kind of game I figured that would make the difficulty about right though. It depends on the level - they're randomly generated, so it's technically possible (but very unlikely) that you'll get a line of rocks along the top making it impossible to get even one coin.

I'm contemplating a sequel now, with much better graphics & sound and all those things I'd originally planned for it. I'll just take a bit of a break first though. Maybe make it more like Updraft by Antimatter (anyone remmber that?).

This was a pretty fun little time waster but it didn't feel as fleshed out as it could have been.

Btw I found a star that gave me loads of money at the very bottom of the ocean... didn't make it back up though.

Nice little game... the rocks were a bit square looking though. The lighting effect is very effective.

Personally, i hate Fake 3D graphics! And everything was too big! If the submarine and everything was hand drawn (maybee it is, but more crappy hand drawn then), and the game was made in a, lets say 640*480 screen it would be my obvious gotw.

All on screen 3D is fake.
