In Kebab Shop Manager you play the part of a Greek bloke who has been entrusted with a sacred mission by the Guild of Kebabia - a clandestine organisation dating back to the days of ancient Greece. Not only must you deal with the day-to-day running of your baberies, you must also defeat the rival Turkish chain and expand your mighty empire over every borough of London. Only then will you gain access to the secrets of the Guild and discover the ancient origins of the kebab itself.

This strategical simulation features over ninety screens, ten mini-games and four alternative outcomes. As well as dealing with banal financial matters you will also be faced with a number of critical decisions such as how little to pay your staff, whether or not to buy rancid meat, which tasteless furnishings to buy and how best to induce psychosomatic cravings in the minds of your customers. You can also indulge in the age-old business practise of ‘drive-by stoning’ or simply go on a rampage with a carving knife and a bottle of particularly potent chilli sauce.

Featuring over 90 screens of action packed laughs and goodness!

Please note this game is not suitable for younger audiences.

Whoah. I was totally thinking about making a kebab shop game today while I was standing in line at a kebab shop. Get out of my head.

Oh no... Totally un-greek
Kebab is turkish (f**k those turks!).
The corect name it would be "Souvlaki Shop Manager".
I'm a greek and I can help you improve
this game if you want.
Also, souvlaki was invented in ancient Greece two thousand years ago. "Souvlaki" or "Kalamaki" in greek means "a small wooden spit". We use either lamb, pork or chicken to make it. Chicken one is better in my opinion. For sauce we use : tzatziki or yogurt or mustard. A greek souvlaki is either : a pitogyros (a pie of gyros from pork or chicken or lamb), a kalamaki (a spit with small pieces of meat) or a pita psomaki (bread with kalamaki). So, your simulator is kinda inaccurate but you can improve it. It's fun; I played it.

My favorite souvlaki is:
a diplo-pitogyro (a double pie, with chicken gyros),
tomato, onion, potatoes and of course tzatziki.

Another awsome on is yaourtlou; pie with kebab and a yougurt-based sauce.

All of the foods mentioned above are very, very, very, very, very fattening!

Gyros are my favorite food. I'm confused by this though (I'm from the U.S.)

"A greek souvlaki is either : a pitogyros (a pie of gyros from pork or chicken or lamb), a kalamaki (a spit with small pieces of meat) or a pita psomaki (bread with kalamaki)"

What I usually get is a mix of Lamb and Beef with tzatziki(sp?) sauce on a pita. What is that considered.

Great game, finally i was able to try.

SUPERB game! Great humour (actually reminds me of that one Monty Python game), and very enjoyable.

Now how do I get optimal profits?

Posted by Roman-the-evil 24th February, 2007

The Saturday shift mini-game is too difficult. Makes almost impossible to achieve optimal profits and hygiene results... =( Can you make it easier or at least introduce levels of difficulty?

Posted by robin90 24th February, 2007

It is quite true. Always lose the game because I cannot get any profits. Try a few options like supplies, furnitures and even demolish all rival shops to zero, but in the end went broke. The time for the shift is too fast, my best record is about 3 only, and it is always bad. So how to get profits to progress on with the game ?

Not enough insults. Only saying "wanker" gave results on the enemy.

DaVince, not true, you just need to umm...learn more insults in British English. Reading some of football forums might help :S

Just finished the game, it was weird and pretty challenging, too. Some of the randomly occurred bugs made the game a bit difficult. The ending was VERY peculiar, uh. Kebabalonicus has eyes of a fish, err.

Lots of effort used to make the game. I didn't personally approve all the humour but I think this creation shows that ripped graphics and sounds may not always completely ruin a game.

Posted by robin90 25th February, 2007

How did you do that ? kmhvslj Any tips on profit making how to complete the game ?

Posted by kmhvslj™ (Your Friendly Non-Bot Clicker) 26th February, 2007

Actually I have no idea. I was about to complete the game once but got very frustrated due to a silly bug I couldn't progress in the game and because there is no possibility to save, I had to start over (later on when my blood pressure was more balanced again )

Getting the supplies is kind of annoying at times. I noticed I had to go buy more twice a week in the latter stages of the game. Loaning money from the bank may not be a necessity but begging donations from the Guild might be a decent idea in the beginning. The Saturday shift is important even though I'm not sure what's the reason for random shifts in mopping and random shifts in serving the stuff.

I found picking up the ingredients somewhat awful because you had to stop at the exact point, not just for instance press once right. Keep in mind that by advertising you have more time to do the Saturday shift even though the price of the flyers seems to rise as the game progresses. I think I did pretty well to serve nine portions or so but then I also had a very good luck, getting many easy orders like nine doners or four cans of fizzy drinks. I think there was one guy who should have accepted the order but he didn't. Also I didn't quite comprehend what the Guild dude with his robe wanted.

Looks great! I'm looking forward to playing it next time I'm pissed.

Posted by robin90 27th February, 2007

Thanks for your help, kmhvslj. Flyers plays a important role in the time of the saturday shift. If you get 5 or above, at least you can still make some profits.
