For thoose about 15 peapules who downloaded the demo, this is what you can expect in the full version:

*Friends, enemies and player animations have been issued a gun
*Better menu ghrapics
*Various bugs fixed, like that bug that stoppes the game
*Save system updated
*Levels added

For the ones who havnt tried the demo, UR is a 8 directional shooter, where you must cooperate with your friendly AI to kill the enemy AI. In addition the game has a intensice story line.

NOTE: There is an error in the menu, You are not able to enter level 1 without deleting a non-existing game file. Do this by entering "Start game" at the main menu, then press "Delete game file".

I can't seem to get past the title screen. "press a button to load your level" is pretty vague.

I don't want to sound unpolite, but what is the story line?

Posted by Willy C 17th April, 2004

Ok press button to load: Press the level button, Level 1: training, level 2: something....and so on. Ok I guess the story is kinda strange, but it goes something like this. 100 years into the future and there is this secret cargo with plutonium, shipped from earth to another planet. What many of the crew on board doesnt know is that this planet is in a military solarsystem. what do they need the plutonium for? find out, play the game. nice huh? give it a shot, play past the training and there should be some story.

I had to delete the non-existant save first. Strange.

Posted by Willy C 17th April, 2004

that is strange, report more bugs please. Il try to fix em, it is the first time I managed to use mmf to build my game. Hey cool Im in the game of the weak thats a first. hope you like the game

Wow I really enjoyed this!

Posted by Willy C 17th April, 2004

you did, thats great! I was unsure if I would release part two, but now I want to. part two enviroments are more diffrent: first a jungel, then winter moantains, finaly the army base where you will figure out what the american army are doing with the plutonium. If you like the game, vote the GOTW.

this game is really nice :) but i got a couple of suggestions for you.. fix the starting frame.. it took some time to figure i had to delete progress before level1 appeared.. and i didnt like the logo cus it had all that black around it.. you should have had it on a black background or have logo without photoshop glow effect

Posted by Willy C 18th April, 2004

that starting frame, damn it, I forgot to fix that. ok, its obvious I should had looked it over before posting it here. I was just so happy that a managed MMF to work. But Il fix it right away, as soon as my laptop arrives.

This game is an excellent example of a good design and execution coming together. The only thing thats bad about it is the interface for controling team mates. Its functional and all, but it doesnt seem as elegant as the rest of the controls. Anyways, good game :)

Wow, awesome game. It's cool, the story's not bad and everything. Reminds me of Perfect Dark. anyway, I'm gonna go back and play somemore.

Great game! Congrats!:) Keep up the good work! And upload P2!

Posted by Willy C 19th April, 2004

Thanks all. Please excuse the difficult way to start level 1, deleting the non-existen game file and all. If you like this one, part 2 should be excellent, part 2 should be more of a secuel then a part 2. You can see some early pics and ideas if you complete the game, also a arcade mode demo for the game. A would also like to say, thanks to taco from dc, the ghrapics to part 2 will be kick ass, I belive he was going to post them in the forums under the digital works section.

Posted by Willy C 19th April, 2004

oh, and the part 2 coding is almoust finished, so if anyone has any ideas before, send me a dc mail.

Is that music on the menu your own?

Posted by Grazzum - Scorpion E 19th April, 2004

The Reason I like this so much is that it reminds me off halflife. And the people have personality.

Posted by Wormware 20th April, 2004

Well, the game is really OKAY!! I'll review it...

Posted by Willy C 20th April, 2004

cool, a review. Always wanted that, but I not for making reviews for my own games. Looking farward to read it.

Posted by Willy C 20th April, 2004

and no, the music from the menu isnt mine. Found it on some page, look at the credit section when/if you complete the game

Posted by Louis Moon 21st April, 2004

errrm don't think I will complete the game, I found it unplayably hard.

Posted by Tongs 21st April, 2004

A tad frustrating and buggy from time to time, but all in all a fun little game. Nice job!

Posted by Willy C 22nd April, 2004

Unplayable hard? on easy mode the game is rather easy. If you mean cos the bugs, please mention them.

Posted by Louis Moon 22nd April, 2004

No, I didn't encounter any bugs (impressive!). I just suck.
