This game was inspired by the Fishhead games, with permission of Hayo (Fishhead)
Spiderhead is a fan game of Fishhead; this is the remake of the game. This is a short demo for people who would like to see it, counts as a beta.
It has 1 level + 1 boss. The level and boss are special levels for the demo and will not appear in the full game.
Read the readme for the controls of the game.
Special thanks to Hayo Van Reek, Steve and the rest of the Newklear staff.
*Read* There was an INI file bug before that caused a death at the start of the game, this is now fixed with some other bugs. The beta testers and me did not know about this major bug until now.

Hmmm...Not bad. The custom movement is pretty good, but like Circy said, the jumping animation is bad.

Very promising for a demo ... havent killed the boss yet though ... maybe Im not concentrating ... or I have something else besides the dual pistols??? Nah, dont seems so. You are right ... the boss music is not original ... its the title tune for "LOTUS III - THE ULTIMATE CHALLENGE" a game released for Amiga and Pc in 1992. Recognised the tune right away. Jon, youre right, there IS a Sonic sfx in there :D Anyway ... I would like to see this done ... would be a game Id try out ...

Great demo! I couldnt help but notice the springs from sonic... not only by sound, but by weaker yellow and stronger red! I never sounds use from other games, i just use MMF sounds. Good music! (assuming it is yours)

pff sound effects. i dont even bother anymore. My new pc pauses with mmf or tgf games if two sounds are played at the same time. (did anyone notice the sparkster sfx?) This is great though nice and solid unlike most of my efforts :). If i had to critisize in some way i would say that the jump is too fast and high for my liking, and spiderhead would probably get dizzy after spinning so much (although i can think of some characters that spin more than that withouth a problem) on the boss i tried to jump over his bullets but clipped a box on the way up and fell back into the line of fire almost instantly, Which can get anoying as the 'stop dead' in the standard movement.

Not bad at all. I'm not sure why, but there is a certain appeal to this for me. Good work! As for the music, the Lotus 3 Title tune (by Patrick Phelan) and Activity (by the old Amiga Demoscene musician XTD) seemed totally out of place to me. I guess mainly cause i know them well, and from totally different settings! Sound effects seemed fine to me. The only one i thought seemed totally out of place was the Sonic spring sound, but the rest fitted fine IMO.

Not bad, not bad at all! The only compain is the walking animation...the hands and legs are moving at the wrong direction... and the rotated jumping animation, i think he should bend inside somewhat of a circle.

I'm surprised that people knew the music (I didn't know it was official tunes :P, I just thought it was music people made at the mod archive) Most people have complained at the music and sound, all the music will be changed as I said and most of the sound effects will be changed, including the springs. The springs will also have new colours now. Spiderhead's jump animation will not be changed, nor the walking (I know the walking isn't great, but I REALLY hate doing walking animations) Does any1 know a good sound effect program? So I can make my own sound effects then, less bitching ;) * Spiderhead *

The Game itself is not bad at all, only the current sound effects annoy me. Anyway good luck with the game Spiderhead, I just hope you finish this one. :)
