A bit late for the competition (took a while to apear at winsite).
This was made by my friend Philip Dyer and myself for the comp.

This is a Christmas fighting game. You play as Santa and must fight all of ATNAS best fighters. You gain money for striking blows on your opponant and lose money for being hit. If you win the fight you get the chance to spend your money on new weapons (swords, shields armour etc..). Then you can either fight the same person again in order to gain more money or carry on to the next fight.

Don't use the mouse movement. You can retrieve the mouses position with XMouse and YMouse.

It freezes the actual mouse in a part of the screen (on all 3 computers I've ever seen it on anyway), so if the game is windowed (I know this isn't) it can start opening programs on the desktop or if you're looking a other programs (or trying to close it because it's going slow) then the mouse in the middle of the screen which is very annoying and not user-friendly. The title screen looked a bit plain, add some pictures or animations a bit more related than stars, such as the North Pole deserted by elves. Don't use buttons in a game either, they're more for applications. The game itself was quite fun, I liked the method of attack but there needs to be more ways to attack. The game started becoming quite slow later on in the game as well. The graphics weren't too good and some didn't look they should be together (Santa and his arm). The shop looked a bit plain too like the title screen, add something there like the background of a shop, and the price of Excalibur is off the screen. Overall it's quite fun but there needs to be more methods of attack, it needs to be presented more neatly, and it needs some music.

Hey we only had 1.5 MB to use and thats very small (as it was supposed to be for the comp) and we had to cut back on loads of detail! I know what you mean about the mouse opening stuff behind but this was full screen so no problems there. You might see a better bigger version later but not for a while.

The graphics were okay, however the gameplay has some major flaws: 1. Repeditive gameplay and lack of variety. 2. Too many buttons for the controls, you could have made this game work with 2 buttons. 3. Very sluggish control, jumping isn't neccessary, and you have to hold a button to look behind you, just overall not well thought-out. Fix these and this could be a cool game.
