Still In Progress!
Posted 30th Sep 08, by Klikmaster
I thought I'd just let you guys know that I'm still working on this project. Well, actually I have left it for a while, but I've come back to it and got making again!

I improved my level editor now so I have a lot more flexibility with the tiles I put down. This should now enable me to create buildings that can be entered or climbed on! Should allow for caves, ventilation shafts, bridges etc

Graphics aren't as tough as I thought they might be to make, I've already started with some basic ones. I'm trying to decide how the protagonist should look, I have changed his hair colour from blonde to brown, hopefully now he won't get noticed so much by the bad guys!

I'd just like to thank 3kliksphilip for creating such a great article on how to make great rotatable isometric sprites. I do not have to abandon the idea of vehicles in the game now because of this great concept My height-based engine should allow for air-based vehicles Now that should be good!

Awesome to know that your still working on it. but the main character looks sorta weird...

These are more temporary graphics at the moment, the plan is to create a level first, then fill in the details later. I don't want to create some detailed tiles for them to not go well together once I've drawn them all.

In what way is the character weird? He's not finished yet but I'd love to have some feedback.
