Okay, if no one wants games, what about a Cut-Scene competition?

Hey guys!

It has to be a HUMOUR COMPETITION

I mean, making the funniest game/app/screensave possible, wow that should be a barrel of laughs!

How about making a *cough* game which only uses 1 button to do all the actions?

Example : One of these kind of games was a game that you control a helicopter and had to hold a key to make it move up, when it's released it moves down. This way you had to dodge obstacles.

I like the maze idea, that's pretty flexible. But then again, we need some more ideas to choose from, so what about:
*A zoo game e.g. zoo tycoon
*A daily click themed game (probably thought of b4)
*A game which can only last for 3 minutes or some other time limit
*RPG with a customisable character
*Online party game
*Game based on X-rays
*Game based on a random "game name" given to you by the competition judge, using one of those random name generators
*Graphics application
*Desktop simulation/file organiser application
*Best game using only graphics stolen from X game
*Game based on snow
etc.

Yes, that KnP idea has got me interested too. No extensions, no screen scrolling (unless you know how)...Oh no! Most of those who started with TGF/MMF probably wont have a leg to stand on . It would make for interesting results, however.

most controversial game!

the less legal the subject, the better!

clwe et al: Most of the features in MMF that aren't present in KnP don't need extensions The KnP comp would have to be like a list of conditions/actions we can do.

The KNP download on Clickteam's site doesn't work for me. When I try to run the installer, it just takes of half of my RAM! Please don't make it be a KNP compo! O_O

Shen: That is true...there are various work-arounds to do certain stuff in KnP, but then it wouldn't be obvious to some people. I don't see why the conditions/actions should be limited though, as that would probably just mean coming up with longer, more complicated workarounds for certain techniques. Plus, I can just see the competition verifiers sifting through all the events for every person's game, to check that they're 'legit'

The fangame idea sounds like a decent one too. However, I have in mind games from an 'era' when PC's with 128kb of memory were the 'in' thing

I think the fangame idea was cool, but remove the boss thing. Remember, not every game that people would want to make a fangame of has bosses in it. Also, I think it should be a make-a-game compo, just because i haven't seen a good game making compo in a while. Or maybe i just don't know where to look.

I like the KNP game idea. It'll be about raw Klik skill and knowledge put into the game, as opposed to extensions and fancy crap used to wow everyone. Plus the games will have that much more old school feel to them.
