I have an event in which if you select the menu command "Pause" it asks a question. This does fine in single player levels, but when I do it in a two-player level (which uses a sub-app), it messes up the timer for the sub-app and all these things are created by a timer event (normal timer). Does anyone know how to fix this?

It depends how the subapp is set up, is it a pop up or an inbuilt? Because either way you can use the shared data object and when you select "pause" from the menu, send the string "pause" to the subapp, then when the sub-app recieves it. It can pause aswell.
