Adobe Flash for 2D and LightWave 3D for 3d videos.
If you put a million monkeys at a million keyboards, one of them will eventually write a Java program.
The rest of them will write Perl programs.

I thought he meant a cinematic trailer, not sure why... Fraps is great for recording a screen, probably the best out there. It can be tricky to get it to work sometimes, though.

Well it's for DirectX based games, so as long you turn on HWA you should be fine.
Yes it's by far the fastest screen recorder I could find.
I use Adobe After Effects for editing the video afterwards though.
