For warping across a large scrolling level, you will definitely need a smooth and speedy panning technique.

Something like this: http://www.whenthereisnoroominhellthedeadwalktheearth.com/MMF/portal.mfa 3.3mb

The file is large because of the giant background image, necessary to show how easy one can track the movement and the "unjerkyness" of the transition. I even used your character and box sprites.

Oh very nice!

I've just tried implementing it, do you think it's clear enough?

Perhaps I'll do a flash version and a TDC version.

I think it'd be really cool if you did some sort of mode 7 effect with that perspective background there. Like, make the background strafe slowly to either the left or right in mode 7.

Your game doesn't look bad but I think the background clashes a bit with your main character and objects. Perhaps its just that white tower that's straining my eyes?

Hi

Yeah point taken, but the portal graphics and some level objects still aren't in the final state but I was worried that while trying to figure out what the should look like I wasn't getting on with finishing it. If anyOne wants to suggest a look for any items please do. I don't even have any music yet but I'm sure I can sort something.

What about this one:

Finally, is anyone interested in playing a build?

Thanks
