Greetings. I'm not lazy or anything, but sometimes find that -one- good sound fx is like pulling teeth. So if anyone can help me out with links to a good, free sound fx site I'd be grateful. But honestly all I need at the moment is a good blood splatter sound fx. If anyone has one please send it to me at tetsuya_shino(at)yahoo.com Thanks!

A mic, audacity and a plank are really the least you need to do your own sounds. If you really want to heavily edit your sounds very easily, goldwave is really good at that.

Audacity really is a gem when it comes to polishing a game. A single sound with minor edits and played randomly instead of the same sound played over again, truly makes a very large difference in the end result.

you could check out freesound.org too - the samples there are mainly for music, but i've encountered many regular sound effects too.

I'd highly suggest messing around with Dr. Petter's sfx generator. I've used it a lot and it's really great.

Also you can get loads of great and weird sounds by taking bird noises and screwing around with them (reverse / effects / speed up or down / pitch).
