Club is working on implementing a Vitalize (Java?) arcade that people can submit games to. That means you can play games without downloading them. Apparently high scores and DC points will be implemented somehow. It's very exciting!
I'm not sure how many people suggested it, but it was apparently enough because it's being made!
Yep, that's pretty much it, its in programming at the moment actually.. It'll basically be a Vitalize (And possibly Java, gonna look into that implimentation) arcade, tied into DC accounts, with user created games..
The only downside at the moment is that initially it'll only be partially open submissions.. you'll have to submit an unprotected source file for administators to add in arcade code frames and compile to ccn, this will ensure we can QC submissions (rather than letting absolutely anything in), and check games for any cheats/hacks; It also lets us keep things nice and secure.
This might change in the future, but for the time being, submissions will be aproved by administrators.
I beleive Rikus is working on a set of Guidelines/Standards, which he'll publish at some point, aswell as on the arcade once it's up and running.
Got a few features planned that I hope will keep people coming back, so watch this space

I would like to see more games like Peblo's Eo Neo fire game and less snake and space invaders clones. I'll be sure to make a game or two
Peblo Custom ratings must be 50 characters or less

What if I combine the two?
What if they combine you?

that's a good thing, i don't want an arcade full of crap games, that won't attract anyone to the site.
Well, that's only a categorization/presentation issue really. With open submissions, the actual Arcade front page or main selection could feature only the best games based on user votes/admin selection/# of submitted scores./etc But there could very well be a "crap" section too, just hide it so that only those can find it who actually are looking for it. It'd be an important feature for new developers.
Well this answeres a question of mine. I was unaware this arcade was going to be on TDC, and in my post about making an arcade on Facebook I asked if you guys would think it would be a waste of time for me to create it. So the answer to this is, at least from the view point of TDC users: Yes.
