But Rikus said "soon the new features of the dc 4 will start apearing" in the newspost and Clubsoft said "Ah, but it is (I'll enable when halloween is over, and Ive done some more skins).. I need to write something to generate skins to make it easier for everyone else though, at the moment its what you might call a bit of a b%$!ard, anyone who wants a play around in its current state is more than welcome though" when I said that I wanted TDC to be skinnable. I was assuming that soon meant "in less than a month", and it sure don't look like Halloween to me.

Read what Circy said, PATIENCE is a virtue. By the way, I don't believe that's the second funniest joke ever in your sig; I've laughed harder at drying paint.

I didn't come up with it, www.laughlab.co.uk came up with it. Go insult them.

EDIT: Oh you mean you liked it, but it just wasn't quite as funny as drying paint. Yeah, drying paint is SO funny.

Some features I'm missing:

- A 'mark all posts as read' option
- Your own posts shouldn't be shown as 'new post' for the poster himself. It is rather annoying.
- A page in the use admin showing how many DC points you have and how many more to go till you get another star (and some other profile stats).
- Still missing quotes... Those are useful.
- A better board reply box, perhaps? One with links which can make your text bold, italic and so on without having to type all those tags every time?

Yeah, I hate having to view my own posts. I want all the features that DaVince mentioned plus a skinnable site, and anything else that you can think of.

Ok, it's been over 4 MONTHS, maybe i'm just impatient but I haven't noticed any progress other than the search being back, and I WANT NEW FEATURES NOW. I appreciate what your doing, and how hard complex web coding is, but when it was announced aon Halloween it made it sound like the new features were almost done and would be up within days.
What is going on? Why did you announce it so early? Who's with me?

I doubt that the powers that be™ are going to unleash TDC with these server problems. I'd rather the new place will be rock solid than just new and buggy.

Having this version work in Safari would be a good start. Camino is just foul.

"I WANT NEW FEATURES NOW."

That's not the attitude to have. If you don't like it here, go elsewhere. This site is provided for free out of the goodwill of the owners; you are in no position to demand anything from them.

Yeah, but why bother with Safari, Jay? Everyone knows Mac users are all losers who nobody cares about.

One of the things that made this site nice was the fact that none of the members cared about new features; they just appreciated them when they came. So if you don’t mind, take a step back & think about that & the fact that the people working on this site have a life in addition to this website. Apart of that life is not to bow to our every command. This site doesn’t have to exist, & like Jimmi said... with all these problems lately with the server, you can’t possibly expect new features at a time like this!

Thank you Noodle!

Why bother with Safari? because it's faster than IE and Firefox at rendering, potentially shaving off hours a week if I'm doing research. Because I've been downloading off bit torrent continuously for the past 365 days without a virus, with my machine on and running perfectly. Because it has RSS, native MPEG2 and H264 support for fast and all-round better video streaming, because it actually is the most elegant of internet browsers, because there are no bugs, no security problems and nothing wrong with it pretty much at all.

If I didn't have a Mac then I would never have started working on TNSS. A game of which you asked to interview me about yourself.

Guys I don't think Phart is actually demanding them.
I think he's just annoyed that we were "promised" new features soon, and that the promise hasn't been met yet. Although, Phart these guys are right. Clubby and Rikus are busy with their real lives too so really it will take a lot of time for these new features to pop up. So just stay patient, and ignore everyone who posted above me, including yourself

Jay, what were you trying to say in all that gibberish? Having the right codecs for video doesn't decrease your download time, especially when it comes to bittorrent. Your browser has even less to do with bit torrent, unless you mean that your browser's footprint is smaller; which you seem to attribute to faster bittorrent downloads. I can understand it taking up less memory, but a webpage is the same size (Downloadable/ing anyway) no matter what browser you use.

"potentially shaving off hours a week if I'm doing research."

You're saying you read a page so quickly, the time it takes to render is a limiting factor?

No bugs?

http://macedition.com/cb/resources/safari/safari_issues.html

No security issues?

http://secunia.com/advisories/8756/

Firefox has RSS. Codecs have nothing to do with the browser.

Plus, Safari rhymes with safari. I wouldn't want a safari for a browser.

Hey Jimmi i guess you hate Internet explorer with a passion too?

I don't care for any features personally. As long as there are the forums and a place to submit my games i'm happy.

I know i'm overeacting, and as i said a appreciate that this site is offered completely free, but y'all got my hopes up back in October when you announced TDC4, and it's dissapointing that it doesn't seem to be happening.

Uhh, I haven't been having server problems with TDC since it was moved to the "backup server". I guess that's kinda a new feature.
