Started back in 2006, Little Ghost Joe took almost 3 years to complete, but, after countless delays, it's finally here.

LGJ is a platformer inspired by many classic platformers like Super Mario Bros, with pretty unique visuals and setting (beggining of the XX century).
The game tells the story of Joe, who was brutally killed while his murderer, McLoud, got away without punishment. Since justice didn't work, Joe decided to get back to earth as a ghost and have his revenge, but for that he'll have to cross the Evil Mountains and get past the devil's minions before he can reach McLoud.

You can also compare your highest scores with others humans thanks to the online scoreboard.
The soundtrack was composed by Johan Hargne, who made an amazing work at creating the whole ambience of the game.

First, read the news post (taken from the frontpage):

Second the game got worse ? You rated the game 2 stars now it's only worth one ?

Third, I did listen and took into account every comment I received including yours. And honestly I changed my mind about you after reading your second comment.

From what I can see, it's the best I should do. -.-

Also I'd like to ask a admin to cancel his rating unless he gives a decent explanation on why he rated the game even lower this time. I have my doubts he will though.

I mean right now my game's rating is at 1/5 thanks to him.

I really like the design and atmosphere. So far, however, it seems to be fairly standard platforming, but it's quite fresh in terms of design and I like that.

This has nothing to do with personal attacks. I would avoid that If i were you.
Upvoting is just as bad as downvoting. The only thing is people don't seem to care because negativity is such a terrible terrible thing that only mean people do to be mean and horrible and mean!

ok i'm gonna play this again.

Well it's a good game all things considered. Probably on par with the likes of Mr. Stump's dentures.
I don't like the graphics much. The backgrounds look a little scruffy and most of the floor is just black. The sprites are all pretty simplistic.
The game play is solid but a little underwhelming. We've all seen everything before a million times and jumping on enemies can cause deaths more often than you might like.
The music is nice, it sounds familiar somehow.

I really like this game. Design is awesome, graphics are awesome. It is awesome.

Only thing that makes me sad is the number of lives, makes it hard for noobs like me.

I liked the graphics but I have a couple of problems when it comes to the game itself.

The character is thin and the enemies are also thin. It makes it hard to land on them. Most of the time I'd avoid them because it was much easier. Also, you fall quite fast which makes it harder to control.

Another thing, you lose all your bones when you die? Did the bones get you an extra life (I don't think I ever got enough)? If so, maybe it should work SMB style where all your coins are carried over, even when you die.

One more thing, there are far too many leaps of faith. It's a big platforming taboo to have a player forced to jump into the unknown. A lot of times an enemy would be waiting for me at the bottom and I wouldn't have enough time to react. Try to let the player see where they will be jumping to so they can anticipate the danger instead of having to waste a life finding out.

All that said, this game has a lot of charm and I enjoyed most of it. I enjoyed the whole bleakness of it all. I just had a couple of problems with the design.
