My contribution to the 20event competition.
Very basic bat&ball game using 4 paddles, with level editor.

Or.. *cough*.. Enjoy four way ball bouncing paddle action!! includes it's own level editor so players can continue the excitement with custom levels!!

(i liked the description made for my game by the 20event compo staff)

And for your downloading pleasure its packed with homemade original atmospheric music and graphics.

Not bad. I liked the graphics, music, and level editor.

I'm assuming most of the 20 events went into making the ball direction hit off the paddle based on where it hit?

I'll be honest here, 20 event competition or not... I don't know, I really just didn't like this. The levels loaded slowly, and if you knew this was because of the event limited, why do it?

The lives system? What lives system... not only do levels take a while to load, but I need to restart everytime I miss.

Pretty graphics and a level editor don't make up for an event cap, creativity does, and this is very lack luster in pretty much all fields. I'm sorry.

I tried to give as much critique as I could at least though.

just have to say that the slow loading is intentional.. it matches the music on the first level and is a good pause to get ready between each level, i had instant loading at first then added the slow loading effect.
the editor still generates the level instantly.

more lives is a good suggestion though.. the game is not really properly finished. hopefully someone will make use of the source code when its released.

So then why not just make the first level load after specific time, and the rest instant, after a second or two wait time. Or hell, even click after each level, as a "start".
