Posted by desmondwall16 24th August, 2002

Hmm.. i dont know french but i know i like this demo, Im guessing THE EXTENSION is mode7 but i most probably am wrong. Maybe do an english version.. Maybe in the full game ya?!

Posted by Buster 24th August, 2002

Thats Mode7 right? not a fake 3D effect. Anyway, its cool.

For god's sake don't release games in french! This is an english community, not french.

Posted by MasterM 24th August, 2002

I CAN'T LIVE WITH THIS we all come together thanks to the english language and if your english is very bad (it have to be "game" and not "play")we don't care because we are happy that we can understand you a little bit but HEY it's a Boue play err... game and they are always nice and toad you try it and this is really good i know the other great french games but you are the only one who submit his games to dc

Posted by Toad 24th August, 2002

scuse me all for my comment i've forgotten to say "mode 7". all the french be an effort for understand the american/english game. You can be a little effort for the french game.

Posted by Toad 24th August, 2002

very cool the community here ...

Posted by ]Darkstar[ 24th August, 2002

lol buster, mode7 IS a fake 3d effect :P

Posted by zork25 24th August, 2002

Hmm... Wheres the humor?

Posted by Karl Hedlund 24th August, 2002

First of all, I haven't even tried the game. I'm not going to download something in another language. Secondly, you can grow up a bit. You're just humiliating yourself when posting comments like that.

Posted by LightBen 24th August, 2002

I think that YOU should grow up a bit Karl. Maybe Podunkian's comment is a little tough but he's right about the fact that who cares about if it's in French, Japanese, English, Spanish, German, ... Toad is French so it's rather logical that all his games are in French ! By the way, not downloading a game just because it's not in English is ... well ... stupid.

Posted by Karl Hedlund 24th August, 2002

So you think everyone with another language than english should release their games in that perticular language? That seems more stupid to me. What if the great game Baldur's Gate only was to be released in for example French. Then it wouldn't be so many people playing it right? The reason I'm not downloading this is that the last game from him wasn't fun and was in french. It didn't make it better by not resetting the resolution either. And don't defend this dude because you're French!

Karl, you're the guy here with an closed mind, and this kind of attitude is everything but good. You don't wanna play a game in French, alright. Deal with it. But don't take the piss and be all whiny because you don't know other languages than english. That's your problem if you don't want to try things once in a while.

BTW, good game Toad. I hated it though that the fired bullets couldn't hit the enemies which were too high. It's kinda hard to dodge the bullets, piers and boats simultaneously. Good use of the Mode7 extension in there. I look towards the full release Toad. Like all your other Boué games, this one shall be a winner :)

hey karl, games like guilty gear x are GREAT GAMES, but are in japanese. some ppl actually LEARN japanese just to play them (kinda dumb but it shows my point). ppl like games so much they'll play it no matter what language. i don'tknwo where u get ur logic karl. he spent the time to learn english, why won't u try to appreciate it.

yea i agree, the bullets perspecitve is wrong. i still dont' knwo if its the enemy that has a lot of life, or that i'm missing them.

Posted by Karl Hedlund 25th August, 2002

Ok time for the last comment here. The reason I'm still posting comments here is because you dudes insult me. Secondly I'm swedish and noone here would be able to understand anything if I made a game in swedish. Third, I'm actually going to LEARN Japanease because the games are so great. The post about me not downloading games in other languages is kinda wrong. What I want is that you people make the games in English so that everyone can play it. I know you can figure it out yourself in this game but it's not just this game. I'm talking bout them all.

Posted by MasterM 25th August, 2002

@Toad: ha ha you are right this game could be in japanese, too. i think everybody should understand start how to play and exit and WOW i am amazed i always thought that you can only write some english words. I really thank you for this. THIS IS THE SPIRIT.

just a note, the clickteam products are made by french. ie: clickteam staff: -Founder François Lionet -Founder Yves Lamoureux

the best solution are multi-languages games. it is boring to do, but everybody can enjoy it ! Btw, Guilty gear X exist in ENGLISH if i remember well. Btw for a fighting game, as for This great "Longway of Boueville", there is only a few text, and i think this is not really difficult to undestand how to play. Btw Toad and Lightben (and me too ;)) are the rare french community people to release their game here. So enjoy 'them ! ;)

Mode7 is the kind of effect that they use in Mario Kart on the Snes or GBA.

Posted by Toad 25th August, 2002

I do not work in one limps of production international, I am not paid and I am not bilingual. I preferes to provide you a game in correct French that in completely missed English.

Posted by Toad 25th August, 2002

i want say "I prefer providing you a game in correct French, instead of a game in a really poor english" it is not very good english because i translate with altavista.

Posted by LightBen 25th August, 2002

U'r right PiouPiou but the next game I'll post here will be Maxômes, english version ! ;) And I think FS2 will be French/English/Spanish/Italian/Japanese ... huh, maybe not japanese ... :) And maybe only French/English ... Well, time will tell ! :)
