Time to try and get yourself in the credits. feel free to attach BGM or images. If you add a 360 degree border, people will only die from LOTS of damage followed by a combo, so try not to overdo that. I decided to throw in the tournament stage as an example.

Events/effects: Crowd cheers whenever a combo is unleashed
Other: Referee stands outside the arena. If you hit him, you bounce off him and get thrown back in

Well, I don't have to much to day 'bout the ref, but the world arena just doesn't seem fit if it were small. It would have to be pretty large to be a world arena.  good luck on the game!

Well sure, but New york Is huge. It's called "The big apple". The big statue of liberty, the big fast food chains, EVERYTHING big. All I'm saying is that it would most likely be big if it was a world tournament.

The arena has to be in a comparatively closed space because... well think of it like a boxing ring. They'll put cameras and an audience around it. WHY AM I TYPING THIS! this is for new stages!

Lol, you should have funny places to fight like on a McDonald's PlayLand playground, or in the women's restroom .. lol.
Could have a fight in the hood, with gangs that do drive-bys at ya every so often. Or a graveyard level where zombies rise from their graves and attack you while you're trying to fight eachother. Or on a bowling lane while someone is throwing bowling balls, and you have to avoid them while you are fighting.
