Got an idea for a new sprite movement? New gameplay mechanic? Or some otherwise unmentioned (but still cool) feature? Post it here!

I thought of another one. Vehicles ... like a Dirtbike, Snowboard, Airplane (that you can Parachute from), Helicopter, etc.
Ooo ... and Transformer style morphing! ... that'd be hilarious if you did that for the shapeshifter, especially with sounds.

I just want to say that I appreciate you attempting this project ... If you can pull it off, alot of people will be happy.

Ok i really hope you finish this!
All i can say is make sure you dont hard code anything.
and if other people are going to use it, its gona need to be easy to only use the different movements and stuff they want in there game.

Very good idea though, keep at it.. Alough dont put to much work on top of yourself otherwise it will become another abandoned engine... I think your on to somthing here, go for it!

dont make me divide by zero...

Agreed. I may have some stuff hard coded in the beginning but my goal is to move most of that stuff into a single Active Object.

Yep! Honestly, I don't really know how easy the final product will be to adapt to other games. I'm hoping it will be relatively easy but I'm guessing it will still take some work. My primary goal with this engine, though, is to have something that contains a lot of different features for people to analyze, dissect, and port to their own engines. If this engine is never used "as is" but rather stipped and ripped for its various features - then I think it's accomplished it's goal. I think it's more of an "idea" engine than an engine that someone should use for their game.

Thanks! I'm going to work on this as I have time. I don't think I'll be working on the features in any particular order - except those that really catch my eye. Currently, the two features that I'd like to get in the engine are swimming and, of all things, morphing (stealing an enemies shape and movement). Someone recommended that and it just sounds like a really cool idea.

I was thinking about Inversed Gravity.
I mean the character can walk in reverse with a special
skill active (Gravity Control).

It'll work by pressing Down+Up+Jump.

And High Jump :
By pressing "Down+Jump quickly", the character will do a high jump (same as 3.5 normal jumps).

When I tried it you control the blue sprite but when mario dies you die. I think you should get rid of mario.

Could you help with mine?http://create-games.com/project.asp?view=main&id=1719

I hope you can do this!!
