Ultimate World Creator will be available soon. Please help me to get an idea of how many people will use such a program.

There will possibly be a freeware version as well as a commercial version. I might also release it for free and just accept donations. Let me know what you think.

I have worked a long time on this program to make it efficient and fun to use. Ultimate World Creator is developed entirely in Multimedia Fusion 2 Developer.

Here is a very quick demo video showing some of the features and just how easy it is to use the software.

Not something I'd use (I'd make my own) but it looks good, and very well made

What file format does it save a level to, and how does the user load a saved level in their game?
In my experience, generating a map from a file is almost as much work as saving the map to a file in the first place.

Thanks. It is more targeted at people who aren't quite knowledgeable enough to build their own efficient level editors. At the moment it uses 2 arrays and an ini file, but I plan on making it use a single array for everything.

At minimum (using collision blocks, but using only one tileset and no objects), you need 5 events to load the entire map (possibly only 4 events depending on how you load it). The entire event list in the example file (without extra events for controlling unimportant things like hud text) is 23 events long and covers loading tiles from 3 different tilesets, loading obstacles, and loading 7 different objects.

I have an example file that will be released with it that is actually the project file for the test engine included with the program. You can see it being used in the video a couple times to load the level (4:14 is the first time). The example file has more comments than it has events and explains everything so even someone relatively new to MMF could understand it and use the events for their own purposes.

I know I will be using it. Looks amazing. Keep up the great work! I hope you do release it for free and accept donations, because I know you will be getting a big fat one from me.
