3 - More level editor
Posted 2nd Oct 11, by Windybeard Games
Howdy!
Just a quick update. I have been working furiously on the level editor and im sooooo close to completion i can almost taste it!

What it can do...
- select different tile sets and build terrains
- change between layers for visual effect
- creates seperate layer for collision map.
- Lay enemies, Prizes, Crates and anything alse.
- Saves and Loads correctly and quickly.
- makes me feel happy just to look at it

and lots more. Editor is around 90% complete. Once completed its time to design more and more tiles to pimp each level as hard as i can. Im really excited about the way this is all coming together and i hope to release some new screen shots and my first video soon.

If your wondering what the little red squares are in the screen shot, they are the enemies, They are identifiers which hold the information as to what the enemy is, when loaded in the actual game they spawn the correct Mobs.

Peace out!

I'll be honest, It looks ballin' awesome! But complex Would it be possible to get even info tool tips on which buttons and stuff do what.. or to make the editor simple?

Thanks
It is complex but sadly thats because the levels are complex. Every button has tool tips at present but everytime i implement a new thing to the editor it becomes less likely it will be bundled with the game.
You never know though, once the game is competed i may turn my had to simplifying it for release.
