Well, it's been quite a while since anybody has really seen the actual game, so I will now show off some screenshots of how it is coming along:
Shot of the test level seen in the previous level editor update:
Shot of the player holding the sniper rifle:
Shot of the player scoping in with the sniper rifle:
Notable changes as seen here:
-Sniper rifle has been implemented. Scope is also present
-Good guy uniforms have been given a camo texture for more detail
-Backgrounds are now specified in the level editor and loaded externally
-All levels are now loaded externally, including tiles, so there are no tile sets built into the game
And those are all of the visible changes. Most of the changes that have been happening since the demo one month ago are -- as specified in previous posts -- are behind the scenes, most of them involving AI.
The reason no enemies are seen here is because of the nature of the level. It was only intended for testing the loading of levels, thus I never put a spawn point for them in. It would have been to small to fight on anyways.
And that's it. That should give you a decent idea of what I've been doing, and I can't wait to show more of it.
