Posted 9th Nov 11, by Neil Butcher
A Demo Version of UWC is now online for beta testing. Some features have been disabled. The example file that explains how to integrate the UWC map files into your own games is not included with this demo.

Go to www.UltimateWorldCreator.x10.mx to download the demo. Make sure you leave some feedback, such as suggestions, bug reports, or other comments.

You can contact me via this website, my email address, or the contact form on the UWC website.

The demo doesn't seem to open? It says it is not a valid EXE file.

What version of Windows are you using? Try running it in compatibility mode for windows XP. It is working fine on my computer - I am running Windows 7.

I am running Windows 7. I tried re-downloading the file a few time as well, but it still doesn't work. I really want to check this out!!! D:

Hmm...It has worked everywhere I have tried it, so I am having trouble figuring out why it won't work for you.

Maybe you could try renaming the exe to a shorter file name. In the mean time, I will keep trying to find whatever issue you're having.

Okay. I will show you exactly what error I am getting. It says "Invalid data in executable file!"

One possibility is that you have some sort of antivirus software that is deleting part of the file or disabling access to it. Disable any anti virus or anti spyware programs and try downloading and extracting the program again.

it looks really good, I'll try out the demo when I get home... how much are you going to sell it for? and what extensions does it use?

Posted by Neil Butcher 9th November, 2011

I haven't totally decided on selling it or not. Aside from MMF included extensions, it uses Ini++, Sring Parser 2,and the Associative Array extension at the moment, but the Associative Array part might be changed later.

I made sure everything was off. Its still not working.

Hmm. I really don't know what the problem could be. I think it must be something on your end because I can't seem to find a computer that it won't work on.

Does it work for everyone else?

Posted by Neil Butcher 10th November, 2011

I have had no one tell me that it doesn't work for them.

I did upload a new file a couple hours ago so you can try downloading the new zip file.
