Game: Slayin
News posted 30th September, 2011 by Rikus
You might have seen this game floating around the interwebs for the past couple of days but if you have not played it yet, it is absolutely worth checking out. The game is called "Slayin" and it has some terrific 2d sprites and very addicting gameplay. In the game you are a knight that has to kill enemy after enemy. By killing enemies you will collect gold that you can exchange for better weapons and health at a creapy merchant that pops up in the playing field.

With plenty of different enemies to keep you busy and a really addicting leveling system this is a great game from start to finish. It can even be played for a quick run or for a long play session. The game even has a great highscoring system if you want to make your mark in the "slayin" world. If you played the game please let us know your own opinion of this game in the comments section below.

Rarely have I bookmarked a browser game so fast (that's not something I do often). This is pure quality

Pretty. But bland gameplay.

On both Chrome and IE9, this game constantly complains about losing focus, to the point where the only way I could play at all was to have one hand spamming P constantly- it was like playing a slideshow. You really need an option to disable the automatic focus loss detection, or at least fix it up.

Hey All,

Thanks for the kind words about the game. I developed it over 10 months in MMF, little by little. The plan is to get it on iphone and xna next. I just posted the Flash version to get feedback for now.

As for the focus issue, I play it on IE9 everday without any issues. You would need to actively click outside the swf to get the message. But since it is keyboard driven, I'm not sure why you are getting that problem.

Anyway, please feel free to post comments and suggestions.

Cheers,

Mobichan

I had 65k + points (stopped looking), used a dragon scale and can't submit my high score.

Also can't click submit when using opera.

Fixed the button issue and also made it so you can still enter your name if you scored high enough before continuing. Still a few MMF exporter kinks to work out, I'm afraid.
