New idea: Favourites

Nim has come up with an interesting idea for listing users favorite click games, take at look at it here.

Leave a comment to tell us what you think. :)

UPDATE: This feature has now been added to the site. Visit a download page, and click the favourite button on the right. You can have a maximum of 5 favourites, and you can remove favourites by clicking the [x] link next to the favourite on your profile. If you have any suggestions, bug reports or feedback - feel free to let us know by DC mail or on the comments of this news post.

It's been done. If you find any bugs or anything then report them here (there may be some as I coded everything quite quickly). Though I haven't found any bugs yet.

one possible improvement would be to show who has favorited a game ON the download page. Just an idea, i like this new system, good work :y:

Now I have an idea where we favorite actual members, becoming "fans", and your profile would have > list or count of who you are a fan of, who your fans are, and/or the numbers of fans you have.

Edit: The favorites don't appear on the download list?

Like i just said, great idea. I have a suggestion that would make it even cooler though - would it be possible to add some more code so that we could write a small paragraph describing why we chose to favourite our favourite games?

Yeah yeah i know that, but it would also be cool if a comments section would appear when you are on someone's profile and you hover the mouse pointer over the names of the 5 favourited games. Kinda like when you comment on cells in Microsoft EXCEL.

I'd rather not have the counter. That was my only objection to the feature. It's a superb idea, without the counter
