General Poll #27
News posted 5th December, 2007 by Broomie
Has the current poll already been running for a week? Well, actually it's more than a week because I forgot to update it. I blame my laziness for that so I thought I'd make that up with the ULTIMATE poll! That's right, this poll will be good. You might know what it is already if you've scrolled down or peered at the image on the left but for those who like to brace themselves it's coming up after the results of this week's poll.

Well it would appear that the majority of you, 50 to be exact, don't want to enter this competition and miss out on the opportunity to win yourself a copy of Multimedia Fusion 2 Developer. Well, it's your loss and it's also your choice but on a lighter note 45 of you might want to enter the competition whilst 23 of you will be entering the competition. Only time will tell and for those 45 voters who are still thinking about it, I'd start to chase a decision soon as you've got till the end of the month!

You can view the results here.

.:THIS WEEK'S POLL:.

What is the best Clickteam product ever?

Okay, you might have expected something a bit more... ultimate? Well, it's a pretty big decision but what makes it better is that I will be leaving this running for two weeks. So by the end of those two weeks, you, the public, will decide what is the best product Clickteam have ever released. Is it Multimedia Fusion 2 or will you always have a fondness for Klik 'n' Play? Well I know what mine is, so what is yours? And that's every Klik product as far as I'm aware so any more will probably make this the biggest poll ever to feature on TDC. And of course, some products probably won't get any serious votes but I wanted to include them anyway so less questions and more answers!

Btw, this poll doesn't mean what software is the best but which one had the most impact on you. MMF2 is obviously the most superior but doesn't necessarily mean it's your favorite one. This poll is more about what is best to you, your favorite one rather than simply voting MMF2 as it clearly is the better application which I think some of you have been doing.

MMF2 FTW

even with its bugs and annoyances , I had a lot of fun making game in TGF

MMF2 is teh best product eva!

Posted by Radix 5th December, 2007

Remember to add all the TGF, C&C, MMF, MMF2 and TGF2 votes together since they're all the same program.

OMGLOLPMSL

If I had voted a few months I would have said TGF. This time though I went with MMF2.

How are we judging this? On relative terms or not? Because if you mean EVER ever, most people who probably pick what they're using right now. But if you mean at the time, it'd probably be TGF.

Like comparing bioshock and duke nukem 2d. I thought duke nukem was the best thing ever back in the day, but I played it again recently and meh, it doesn't really seem as good anymore.

Nowadays, MMF2. I just think that it is far beyond those other products. TGF and MMF were fun few years back in time and Install Creator is still cool too, but not as cool as MMF2.

Klik & Play or The Games Factory.

These products were most innovative at their times; K&P obviously a totally new kind of software to the market and TGF had the most remarkable improvements after its predecessor. MMF had slighter changes and so did MMF2.

I think really you can only compare each application according to the effects it had on you at the time. That's the only fair way of doing it really.

What, no love for the install creator?

But everyone loves installers!

Posted by Radix 6th December, 2007

NSIS installers are nintendo.com/status

Silvernova- yeah, it should be "What WAS the best Clickteam product ever", as in, what was your favorite throughout the years. Ah, good memories.

Posted by Klikmaster 6th December, 2007

I voted Klik&Play as I completed games with it.

MMF 1.5 ftw

Posted by The Chris Street 6th December, 2007

I actually voted for MMF, it had the biggest impact for me. I had created rubbish games in TGF but wanted something more, and I had never heard of MMF before that until I saw KNPMASTERs Gunner 3 and Dive and Destroy by Blackeye Software up and running, I was spell-bound.

MMF2 also had an impact for me but it wasn't quite as revolutionary as the original MMF was from TGF.

@Teh Circy Claus!: yes

I voted MMF2 but only because of the HWA coming out. oooo it should have been there to begin with, but them demos were incredible.

K&P for sure <3

Posted by nim 7th December, 2007

I voted K&P, in the same way I'd vote for Super Mario Bros. for best platformer.

What, no STOS?

Posted by Cazra 8th December, 2007

I was never sure what Patchmaker was supposed to do.

Posted by Stian B. 9th December, 2007

I still use MMF 1.5 PRO,cause I like more\used to the pic\animation editor there.
Also,my games work different if they upgraded into MMF 2.
So far,I vote for MMF 1.5,even though Klik n Play was amazing that time.
