Even More Christmas Games
News posted 29th December, 2006 by David Newton (DavidN)
The entries for the Christmas competition are still pouring their way into the downloads list, and there are a couple more highlights here... the first is Santasm 3, the latest in a series of Christmas games by Radix. This one is a sort of Sokoban-styled puzzle game, but it almost wasn't.

Comments from the Author: Santasm 3, my xmas compo 2006 entry, is a box-shoving puzzle game that plays a bit like Lolo. It was actually the third game I started for the compo; the first two were going to be a strategy game and a Prince of Persia clone before I got sick of them, because I figured everyone else would be doing Sokoban games. But then I realised everyone else would be expecting everyone else to be making Sokoban clones so they themselves wouldn't, so I could probably get away with it if it didn't suck. And I'm me so it probably wouldn't.

And second, there's Definitely NOT a Tanooji Game! by Bibin. This is another box-collecting grid game, but without the drawback of having to push them all over the place.

Comments from the Author: You play as Bibin, who is getting a winter(?) job, doing a delivery thingy to kids who's parents don't want to go near them (we call them "weirdos".) Anyway, you are sent to deliver to Evil Kitty, who has sixteen rooms, and crazy spikes and stuff to trip over in each one.

The volume of submissions recently has been unusually high, so (even though we don't usually say this) point it out to me if you've got a game with a decent description/screenshots that you think has been overlooked.
