MultiMedia Fusion 2 Video!
News posted 16th October, 2006 by Rikus
Woot, just in case you have not seen it yet, here is the brand new spiffy version of the MMF2 video created by Nico from the clickteam forums. Not only is this video very professional in my opinion, it shows what MMF2 can do. The video will be shown on the upcoming trade shows and magazine CDs!

great video,

Posted by axel 16th October, 2006

I think I saw it before somewhere. Pfft, MMF 1.5 examples.

Posted by Bibin 17th October, 2006

Heh, there's a KNP example. "Hungry Hedgehogs" My ass. I think some more serious games should be shown, like AGWAK, or Cube Sector. The games shown mostly look like kiddy games.

Posted by DaVince 17th October, 2006

Spiffy. But why'd they use such old examples in a promo video?

Posted by Assault Andy 17th October, 2006

Because they didn't even make many new examples for their actual product.

Posted by izac 17th October, 2006

He could of shown more games with blood !! More action. No kid wants to make learning games. action is what you need in that video! AND the music is terrible and it sucks. Sorry... needs work.

Posted by Spiriax 17th October, 2006

The music is only a matter of taste - everyone cannot like the same music. I myself think the music in it was awesome.
However I agree that too many bad/old games are shown and it is also kinda short.
But, ah.. anyone could do this kinda film.

Posted by SoftWarewolf 17th October, 2006

haha thats just awesome

Posted by Fanotherpg 17th October, 2006

If they give some GOTW Games or sth. Only two moments I like with this platform game and presentations...

Posted by Willy C 17th October, 2006

It's a real professional preview video. But as mentioned, it should contain some good games, from the GOTW or something.

Posted by gwerdy 17th October, 2006

I think it is designed to be shown at education shows / conferences, visited by teachers etc rather than aimed at home users. Hence the lack of zombies being ripped to pieces by wild dogs

not a bad video, and lol it was nice seeing all those old KnP example games again - I always liked that space shooter. Good times

Posted by Ski 17th October, 2006

Da Vince and Assault andy have valid points, I thought there were too many examples. The examples were also old.

Posted by Ski 17th October, 2006

I DISAGREE. BAN HIM.

Posted by Retired Kliker Lazarus 17th October, 2006

That's sexy.

Posted by Hayo 17th October, 2006

Those examples are really old by the way.

Posted by DaVince 17th October, 2006

DON'T SAY DA VINCE!... IT'S DAVINCE!

Posted by Reno 17th October, 2006

OMG i am going to go buy MMF2 NOW! Oh wait.... i already have it

VERY nicely presented

Posted by Ski 17th October, 2006

Im sorry Da vince

Posted by DaVince 17th October, 2006

Yo!

Posted by AndyUK 17th October, 2006

i saw that video only yesterday. Whilst looking for multimedia fusion 2 videos on you tube.

Posted by izac 18th October, 2006

The video seems... outdated or something.

Posted by Ski 18th October, 2006

Some of those gfx/library gfx are awful also. I hate that Jester character

Posted by Jenswa 18th October, 2006

Why weren't the new examples from mmf2 used

Posted by X_Sheep 18th October, 2006

What new examples?

Posted by The Chris Street 18th October, 2006

Chocobreak, for example.

I was asked to supply a demo of MSD2 with MMF2 at the Click Convention, but I declined

Posted by David Newton (DavidN) 18th October, 2006

=O Why?

Posted by The Chris Street 18th October, 2006

Because I wasn't really willing to release the source - plus I wasn't 100% happy with the game, which is why I restarted it back in January.

Posted by DaVince 18th October, 2006

"Chocobreak, for example."

You know that is 1) an MMF1 example and 2) already shown in that movie, right? Or did they make another chocolate-related example?

Posted by Johnny Look 18th October, 2006

Nice video.

Posted by Hill Gigas 18th October, 2006

Im sorry, but thats a really bad promo for MMF2. Half of those examples were taken from games that came with Klik & Play! I mean, come on! Thats twelve years ago at least, right? SURELY Clickteam has made something more impressive in all those years!

I just think they should have showcased something really outstanding that shows the full potential of MMF.... like Bogart!

Posted by 18th October, 2006

That really sucked, man seriously who the heck do you think sees that video and then thinks something like:
"Omg that program i must buy for my last 100$, i mean look at the quality of those games i can make with it!! WHOA YEAH COOL BEANS!!1"
-_-

Posted by 18th October, 2006

Not anymore, ive stoled it. Muahahaha! *runs for it*

Posted by Moonyjacob 19th October, 2006

Why don't we all submit some amazingly graphical games? And SOMEONE with a video software record it and put it together?

That video sucked!

Posted by MJK 19th October, 2006

I got to disagree here.. I think it's a really good promo. You have to consider the fact that the major (potential) market for MMF isn't the same that its hardcore user segment. If you want to sell MMF to "mass" (in a sense) markets, you need to emphasize easyness, simplicity and speed (and these were highlighted), and only secondary the complexity of the outcome (final product, game). Of course to us, it seems that the old K&P-examples don't provide the best possible picture of MMF's potential, but it doesn't matter what we think. This video is not targeted to us, and the target group may very well perceive the message differently. Imo, it's a good video with good examples. However, adding one example of more complex stuff (some effects), wouldn't hurt.

Posted by 19th October, 2006

Just watched this again and it is indeed awful >.<

Posted by Ski 19th October, 2006

Like swedish TV?

Posted by Nothing, Ok? 19th October, 2006

Why swedish tv?

Posted by Sephirenn 19th October, 2006

I heard they made the menu's in Halo 2 with a beta of MMF2 Professional.... Why didn't they put that in there at least? I guess they need to hire some better marketing peeps.

Posted by David Newton (DavidN) 19th October, 2006

Why didn't they put that in there at least?

Because you just made it up.

Posted by axel 19th October, 2006

Hahaha, right.

Posted by izac 20th October, 2006

I hate the video

Posted by DaVince 22nd October, 2006

I watch this thing every day, and the more I look at it, the better it becomes. Whoa.

Posted by izac 23rd October, 2006

The better it becomes??? I watched it a minute ago.. and i almost died of boredom!

Posted by Nothing, Ok? 24th October, 2006

Still watching it?

Posted by David Newton (DavidN) 24th October, 2006

For someone who so adamantly hates the video, U2 does seem to watch it a lot.
