Winner Desktop Compo 2005

Yes folks and we got 2 winners - Ecstasy and Nastyman have won this year's Desktop Compo. Congrats and 2 stars are heading to you both. The judges found Ecstasy had a great background and nice layout of the buttons. It was still a close call because there were so many great desktops out there, and we added Nastyman as the winner because a DC admin not to be named (muz) strolled into the voting booth 1 day too late but we decided to count his vote anyway resulting in a tie between the both. Nastyman's desktop won also because of his original design. I want to thank everyone for submitting their desktops. Here is a bigger version of Ecstasy's Desktop. And here is Nastyman's Desktop.

We also have 1 runner up and it's Amnesiasoft's Desktop.

Nastyman had a really nice idea there, personally, I think he should have won for originality, but then again, thats just my oppinion.

lol, nastmans desktop should have won... i bet 90% percent of tdc visitors knew a desktop with those anime, manga, whatever chicks is gonna win. and it's pretty boring... i mean...can you look at it for more than 3 days....i certanly can't. blah, that's my opinion

well it is, but cause our hosting company decided to somehow corrupt every one of our sql databases (actually not just ours) we get to start again.

Yeah, Nastyman's should've won, if it had better color usage. That is, unless Ecstasy's desktop was homemade.

Actually I keep my desktop very clear, with only My Computer, My Documents and the Recycle Bin on it (in stark contrast to my real-life desktop). At 1280x1024, this seems a bit of a criminal waste of pixels.

I'm from Israel, MasterM. I'm registered in this website for years, but mostly just read and download a few games. I joined the competition for the hell of it, never guessed I would win. XD By the way, I don't change my wallpapers very often actually. This one is for 3 weeks so far, after the previous one was for about 3 months. And another thing, I'm not some graphics designer wiz, so I don't make fantastic wallpapers of my own or something, I just put something comfortable to the eye (no, not Lucy's boobs, just the usage of colors with a series I liked). And...Nastyman has a really nifty idea for a wallpaper.

LOL. I didn't think my vote would count. I chose Nastyman's coz while Ecstasy's was good, it don't seem very fair for someone to win a desktop compo if other people would possibly have the same desktop. But still, the tie's well-deserved :P
