I just finished the first couple of scenes of the intro to Rocket Skater, using a custom typing engine that allows you to go to the next line of dialogue at your own pace, but still keep animations intact. It involves a duo of thieves who don't get exactly what they expect when robbing Fort Knox. This clip doesn't yet answer the question of why the poor girl from the demo has rocket-powered roller skates attached to her feet. Just press space at the end of each line of dialogue to go to the next one, or press space while the dialogue is typing to skip straight to the end of that line. Let me know what you think!

Yes, I made the "bad icon," and the blockiness is from purposefully resizing smaller sprites. All characters in cutscenes will have the same style, however. I am not an artist, so I was looking more for comments about plot, dialogue, jokes, and the cutscene engine.

Thanks! Sadly, the graphics are the best I can do with my limited skill. However, I tried to put some extra background details and expressions to balance it out. This animation is part of the intro to Rocket Skater, a game I'm slowly working on that's an acrobatic one-button platform game (you can't stop.) The one-level engine test can be found here: http://www.create-games.com/download.asp?id=4485 .
