I have no programming knowlege what so ever, but I have had extensive use of the warcraft 3 world editor (Though the only thing i could do well was terraining)I am going to download TGF trial version tommorow to see what its like, but any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Multimedia Fusion is a superior tool, but TGF is simpler and easier to use (partly because it has less options and you can't make as much stuff with it).

Try the demos and see which you prefer.

Although I haven't used Jamagic (I don't intend to either), I'd go with TGF. I used that when I was a n00b myself. Its very easy and you'll be easy programming in no time.

Don't reccomend TGF, I got pessed off when I bought it, got good at it, and then had to buy MMF because I wanted to do more with it. Just buy MMF

Buy MMF, TGF is wasting your money.

As the above said, MMF is by far the best.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'll download the demo of MMF first, before i buy the full version. It seems that you all recomend it, so i'll give it a go.

Buy MMF dont try it, I didn't like MMF until I used it, and buying it forces you to use it.

I don't get how people could not like MMF after trying it (yes, I'm talking about TGF luddites). I used TGF for years before I got MMF. Sure, there's a learning curve, and the interface is different, but all new software is like that. It just seemed logical to me that the newest version must have the most features and flexibility, so a period of uncomfortability is a fair trade for not limiting myself.

I concur with Radix.

MMF is newer and has more features, and TGF isnt being supported as much (if at all) by Clickteam. I cant remember when the last TGF update was released? Subsequently if you get TGF it's going to be dated a lot quicker than if you get MMF.

The only up side to getting TGF, IMO, is it's cheaper. But there's a reason for that

Yes, MMF is more powerful. But he wants a tool for a complete "noob" at game making, and TGF is perfect for beginners, MMF isnt the greatest tool for new users

How does using an inferior product help someone inexperienced? The differences between the two apps are minimal. If you have to learn from scratch, you might as well learn on what's most up-to-date, otherwise it's like that episode of the simpsons where the stupid kids are supposed to catch up by going slower than everyone else. Not that there's anything wrong with TGF, it's just that its lack of complexity isn't a reason for using it.
