I found a way to recover a cd with bad chips or minor scratches on the foil side. All you have to do is stick duct tape on the scratches and copy the disk!I tryed it on a cd that cost me alot and almost threw it away.Just be careful not to stick too much on the cd or the cd may explode.

As long as you dont make your cd heavy with tape and dont peel it off.

You could also try putting your CDs into the microwave for about 20 seconds - the waves will heat up the CD a little and cover over the scratches, meaning you can record the CD okay.

I once bent a warped CD back into a playable state, it wasn't anywhere near flat, but playable.

Putting CD's in microwaves for just a few seconds makes them spark and the surface becomes cracked to the shithouse. Trust me.
I also recommend putting marshmellows in the microwave.

While were at it, put a lightbulb in the microwave for what I like to call the Uncle Fester effect.

Don't do any of these things with a microwave unless you're a TRAINED MORON like myself.
